Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Putting off vacuuming tends to keep the rest of my house sparkling clean. It does not get my vacuuming done, unfortunately.

I actually do need to vacuum but am at the parents today.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Anyone else struggling to get stuff done?

Me. I should be deep cleaning for my sister's visit next weekend, and so far I've just done a little laundry. But the day's so gloomy and the cat on my lap's so warm.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Okay, here we go!

I have put in one load of laundry, separated out another load, and picked out wrapping paper to wrap the gifts with. I realize I should probably add cleaning out the kitchen sink to my list since TCG has been dealing with yard work for the last two days. And dinner, something should probably be done about dinner.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Pix, I hope the nap helps.

I've done the dishes and made myself some tea. Now to clean the filters and then I'll do the receipt for A while drinking my tea. Then dinner planning and walking the dog, I think.

Can't clean the filters, vacuum filters still aren't dry. Started the receipt, got phone # for A from landlady, am now embroiled in a text discussion with her, but that's all right - it's stuff that needs doing.

Gone as far as I can on receipt, finished convo with landlady, emailed friends coming to visit. Now to walk the dog and figure out dinner.

Ugh. I forgot stuff at home when I left the house this morning, so figured I'd head home, eat something, and then continue (things to buy, but needed the coupon, things to return that I'd left at home...). And then a friend called and needed a ride to pick up her car which was towed. And I figured since it was on the way I'd stop and get a pedicure. And eat some pizza. And then I came home and sat on the couch...and now my tummy hurts because I ate too many cookies, and I am not doing anything productive. Oops.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There are no D batteries left in Virginia. I couldn't find my flashlight, so I went out and got two of the last three flashlights. I left the very last one for some other desperate idiot, as an act of good karma.

I bought my D batteries on Friday, but when I was at the hardware store there were small LED flashlights that took AAA batteries. So, I picked one of those up too, just in case.

I slacked off after putting the laundry in because my back seized up, but since then I have cleaned out the sink full of dirty dishes and made dinner with TCG's help. We made what we call pantry pasta, which consists of whatever we had on hand. Tonight that means, kalamata olives, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, ricotta salata, and parsley all chopped up and mixed with a little balsamic vinegar, olive oil and garlic. No cooking of the sauce required.

Bonus is that there are ALWAYS AAAs left in the stores! I've got 2 (well, 3 but I can't find it) of those and want to buy many many more.
