Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Gone as far as I can on receipt, finished convo with landlady, emailed friends coming to visit. Now to walk the dog and figure out dinner.

Ugh. I forgot stuff at home when I left the house this morning, so figured I'd head home, eat something, and then continue (things to buy, but needed the coupon, things to return that I'd left at home...). And then a friend called and needed a ride to pick up her car which was towed. And I figured since it was on the way I'd stop and get a pedicure. And eat some pizza. And then I came home and sat on the couch...and now my tummy hurts because I ate too many cookies, and I am not doing anything productive. Oops.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There are no D batteries left in Virginia. I couldn't find my flashlight, so I went out and got two of the last three flashlights. I left the very last one for some other desperate idiot, as an act of good karma.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I bought my D batteries on Friday, but when I was at the hardware store there were small LED flashlights that took AAA batteries. So, I picked one of those up too, just in case.

I slacked off after putting the laundry in because my back seized up, but since then I have cleaned out the sink full of dirty dishes and made dinner with TCG's help. We made what we call pantry pasta, which consists of whatever we had on hand. Tonight that means, kalamata olives, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts, ricotta salata, and parsley all chopped up and mixed with a little balsamic vinegar, olive oil and garlic. No cooking of the sauce required.

Bonus is that there are ALWAYS AAAs left in the stores! I've got 2 (well, 3 but I can't find it) of those and want to buy many many more.

Trust my rage

I am finally sitting down after washing, drying, and putting away 4 loads of laundry and one load of diapers. Ellie spent the night with a friend (first friend sleepover) and it was so much easier with one less child. Apparently, she stayed up "all night" but I don't buy it because she's pretty functional.

Yes, and there are always extra here too, because we only have one thing that uses them, and I tend to buy the batteries in bulk.

My cousin had a little girl today! She's in NJ, and I was so worried that she wasn't going to be able to get to the hospital in the storm, so I'm glad that all is well.

The status is NOT quo.

Checking in: I napped and have now graded five essays. Going to pick up the pooch and then back to work. Thanks for the motivation...
