Came home sick. Had diarrhea three times already today, and I'm having mild sharp abdominal pains. Made doc appt for tomorrow morning. Going to take a quick shower and curl up.

I heard from the vet. Dean's liver is in bad shape but it's not failing. Barring an ultrasound (I really wish they'd stop bringing that up, yesterday she said it would cost $1000. I can't spend that on my cat as much as I love him.) she can surmise it's an infection. She recommends a course of antibiotics, another medicien I forgot what it was, and fluids subcutaneously.
I'm going back today to learn how to do the fluids so I can do that at home. He seemed in the right direction last night but not so well.

askye, this may be "out there", but milk thistle extract (silymarin) helps heal liver damage in humans and I've heard of it being used to good effect in cats as well.
