I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hil, when I get into one of those thought-traps, I think of something that fills my mind without taxing it. In my case, I try to remember something like every bedroom I've ever slept in, or the detailed layout of the mainstage I worked in at college. The fact that I am visualizing more than thinking really distracts me and usually relaxes me, too.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

OMG: best thing ever: heating pad against my chest/belly while icing the neck/upper back. All the therapeutic benefits of the ice pack without the chilly discomfort. Also, I really needed a reminder of how lovely the heating pad is when it's cold and rainy. Also, it makes the cats even more interested in sitting on my lap.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's a good trick to remember for icing. I loathe icing but sometimes it is the right answer.

I'm not mad, but I am disappointed. You need to go to your room and think about what you've done. You can come out when you're ready to behave like a reasonable species.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

All best wishes and good thoughts to Niki, bonny.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

bonny, much and much ~ma for Niki.

brackets to askye and smonster.

Sadly, I have to give a lot of tech support to folks with memory of a goldfish today. Do not want. They all were in tech training yesterday. This morning my email was floated with questions that were answered less than 18 hours ago. I do not follow their thinking/causality process.

(For the record, I'm not the official tech support. I'm just the middlewoman on this).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Who is going to the zoo with her (new) sister today??

THIS GIRL!! So freaking giddy. Haven't seen her in almost a year.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

food advice. I have the following ingredients I'm thinking of using in beef soup (in addition to beef). potato, cabbage, onion, celery, carrots, beets. Except my instinct is saying beets or celery but not both. Thoughts?
