Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I don't remember exactly how much I was quoted by the cleaning service to come in once a week and wash the floors, clean the bathroom and clean the kitchen, but I think it was around $160 for every two weeks, which is why we haven't done it.

In, I forget everyone isn't us news, my friends baby was born yesterday and there has been no facebook status update and no photos online.

So today I've made an appointment with a GP and a gyno, things I've needed to do for months. So that's out of the way. I need to clean up the apartment because my toilet is doing something weird and I need to get a plumber to check it out but I've let the apartment get to a bad state.

Dean was snuggly last night and ate some. But this morning he's back to being lethargic. He hasn't eaten anything and didn't even get excited about the hairball remedy (which he normally loves). I'm waiting to hear back from the vet about the blood work.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Onerous tasks done, every hour on the hour, to take a break from my backlog of work:

Cleaned and am washing all utensils in utensil drawer (I spy with my grossed out eye: MOUSE DROPPINGS.

1 load of laundry in

Bed made.

Painful long put off phone call to President of board I serve on made (went well; I was dreading it.)

Meds acquired and duly taken; BFF called and set up accountability to conquer (or at least muzzle The Black Dog.)

And posting on B.org.

Accepted an actual Social Outing on Friday, to which I will attend come hell or high water.

GO TEAM ME.

Work is slooooooow today.

Frustrated cause I'm basically awaiting some responses and once those hit, I'll be swamped. They couldn't respond one now, one later, etc....no, somehow they will all respond at the same time. Grrrrrrrr.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Called my bank to see what I need to do about property taxes. They said nothing. They will pay it next month, and send me a statement that it was paid in December. She said deposit the refund, but don't spend it, just in case the banks estimate of taxes was off. Whee.

Brain is in blah mode from too much in head. I need a release valve of some sort. But afraid of what I would lose.

Remember last friday, when I did the impromptu photo shoot? He sent me a low res version of his prefered pix. It's pretty sweet. He had class last night, and the Prof said it was best in the class (apparently he got a round of applause from the students, and nobody else did), BUT, that the prof said it wasn't good enough. That D could do so much more. That the technical aspects are excellent, but the composition is only about 90% there. So. He asked if I would be willing to do it again this Friday. He also thinks it will get into a gallery!! eeep! I am *no* model. He's like "I can't afford modeling fee, but I will happily split 50/50 and sold prints". Sure, bribe me. I feel like such a whore t snerk So? Guess what I'm doing Friday?! Look for the first round print in my Facebook.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

omnis, that's a great photo, and you looked like an excellent model!

omnis that's cool you are going to be in a gallery.

So, no test results back on Dean. Won't be until tomorrow. He hasn't eaten and hasn't had much water, hasn't used the litterbox. Threw up after I gave him the pepcid.

I called the vet (for results) and they said I could bring him back in for another round of saline, an injection of the pepcid drug, and another injection that might help settle his stomach and keep him from throwing up.

All that might help him, but it might not and they won't know what's going on until the blood work.

I'm not going to take him back in 1) because I don't want to subject him to injections that might help and might not and 2) I can't afford it. Based on yesterday's vet bill that would be at least another $100.

I hate it coming down to money but if they could say "yes this would work" I'd take Dean in but they can't even say if it would make him better.

Have you tried chicken broth, askye? Sometimes a cat will drink more of that than water, plus he'll get some salt.

Well chicken usually upsets his stomach. I ran to the grocery store and bought some kitten formula which he lapped up like crazy.

And I also found some canned catfood with seafood but no wheat or chicken. I'm going to see how he holds down the formula and then later tonight give him some of the wet food.
