Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And I want JZ's delish sandwich. That sounds NOM!!!

She made happy noises so I presume so.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Made a carbonara, yum. Then looked up hotels to recommend for Matt the Bruins Fan on Kayak.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

{{{ Bitches }}} for all my sick friends. Get well soon.

Since I was working all weekend, and am exhausted, and had a very productive morning, I decided to leave early. Got home just as my iPhone app told me it was sunset. Perfect! Got a glass of juice, and watched the sun set over the hills. It was a pretty night. Now I gotta make dinner.

Trust my rage

I'm pretty sure Sammy has chicken pox. (Maybe not bit he was around someone who had them a week ago and he has a low fever and a few spots.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Stephanie, that's not fun.

Trust my rage

So Dr sears says there is an AB that is expensive that can shorten/lessen chicken pox if you give it right away. Sammy was exposed over a week ago but just got sick today. Dr sears also says don't bother going to the dr on day 1 or 2 of chicken pox because they can't tell what it is.

My bet is that our clinic won't give the AB so i don't see much point in going, right?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

There's an AV, not an AB. I'm not sure how often it's used in kids, though.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Those chickens have a lot to answer for.

My three brothers and I all got chicken pox at the same time. Out of the four of us, I reckon the one who suffered most was our mother.

In that situation, I would take Ryan to see the doctor, just because he likes knowing that doctors help us to get better, which I'm happy enough to encourage for the time being. His Richard Scarry DVD includes a lion who's a doctor, imaginatively called Doctor Lion. That's one of his favourite segments. A few months ago, he had a throat infection, for which Biyi planned to take him to the doctor. It led to this exchange:

"Ryan, should we take you to see Doctor Lion?"
"No, I need to see Doctor Human!"

I was gonna say, I don't see how an antibiotic would help a virus? But if it's going to help, most antivirals need to be taken within a few days (like for flu), which is why in general clinical practice they aren't super useful for that sort of thing, since most people don't go in right away, or know what it is right away.

But getting it as a small child is usually easiest--have the other two had it? Oatmeal and calamine baths, I suppose...
