Up until the punching, it was a real nice party.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Girly TMI: I have been on bcps for a long time now, and I went off of them in April. This month I am remembering just how awful my periods were before bcps. Do not like.

IOmemeN, the did the surgery on my uncle yesterday, but they did not close up the hole in his lung because they found them to be full of infection, so they are going to be treating that first. My grandfather's foot is doing much better, and he's on a ton of antibiotics to treat it.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Hil,

I don't understand. This is separate from the grade issue. Students should not register a complaint about grading by screaming at you.

This issue cannot be addressed?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I don't think that it was quite at the level where I could formally file anything against them, and I really don't know what to do otherwise.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

okay, I'll let you handle your business.

from afar I continue to be appalled.

Our wings are not tired

or getting some shit thrown on me.

Well, we don't throw things at people, but we do use lots of water gags. A actor will cut into a fake body and they will have a way to trigger a water spray so it seems like you just got hit with a blood spray. It's just plain water though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I'm glad I could get you an answer to your unasked question, LeN.

Thanks, ND! That will be enough info for him to decide. I think he's trying to tough it out--I don't know why I'm trying so hard to convince him not to go, but it really doesn't sound like he's up to it, from what little I know of him online. Some people need a cathode ray tube between them and the macabre. And, good lord, what am I going to say when the last CRT is taken away from us?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ND, okay. I can handle that without causing a public panic. Water is not a problem at all.

I also had a student today claiming that I marked something wrong on his paper when it was actually right. I'm nearly certain that his answer was wrong, and he erased it and then wrote in the right answer after I handed the papers back, but I've got no way of proving it. I'm giving him the points, and keeping a closer eye on his papers in the future.

Wow. That's so very kindergarten.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

That's so very kindergarten.

Middle school, I think. Kinders wouldn't be able to pull off a convincing fake.

And, in the other side of academic shenanigans, I was just given a reading from the APA on treating older people with psychological issues. It, as one might guess, is full of statistics. Statistics that were current when it was published. In 1998.

I am unimpressed.
