Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I've got beef stew simmering on the stove. I am unreasonbly annoyed that I cannot find my Worcestershire sauce. I KNOW that I have some, where the hell is it? Grr.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We went out for yummy Mexican food tonight with my other set of in-laws, and we still avoided all political talk. Win!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I had burbon pumkin pie , with a ton of bacon, some eggs and potatos on the side.

NOM.

sj, that's good stuff.

So, uh, while sorting and recycling papers, I found the PI sheet for the antibiotic I just took. I think I may have a C. difficile infection [link] I just had (whitefont for yucky) diarrhea for the first time during this whole business (eta, make that twice now) and I have definitely had more than three days of nausea and stomach cramping. I just called R, and she said that I just need to make sure I stay hydrated. Whee. And of course, I just paid my health insurance for October tonight, so I'll have to call tomorrow and make sure it's gone through.

I can tell I'm starting to drop weight, it always shows first in my face. I haven't been eating as much because of the nausea.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

((smonster)) Get well!

That egg with the bottle trick is HOT. I mean. Damn hot.

Did some window treatment shopping with my friend E. She was awesome. Really helped me focus the search. She came by. Asked a bunch of questions, and helped me figure some things out. I forgot what her one question was, but it caused me to pull out this rug/blanket/tapestry type thing I've had forever. I bought it during summer stock theater as a window covering for the cabin they put us up in. And in the past, I've had it on the wall. Wasn't sure where it was going to go in the new place. She took one look at it, put it on the bed, and said "how about some bedding that goes under this, a solid, and then between that, and this, we have a pallette of colors to start thinking about. We found the bedding thing. Still looking for drapes. Fabric store seemed much better than actual drapes shopping. She said if we go the fabirc route, she will sew them up for me. Very cool! So the bed looks better. Certainly more presentable for when people come over!

Heading to the doc in 15 - called them on a whim at 8, and they were just opening! yay.

omnis, that is terrific. She sounds like a good friend.

Back from doc. They're doing a culture for C. diff, it'll take a couple of days. In the meantime - bland diet, lots of water and gatorade, and she gave me medicine for the nausea and cramping.

I've lost five lbs since my last doctor visit (9/17); probably lost it just in the last week. Not a fun way to lose weight.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Not good, smonster. Tummy ~ma!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

C. diff is nothing to mess around with, so it's good you're getting it checked. Yikers.

I am home with a sore throat and general aches and a fever. But I have GF macaroni and cheese, an episode of Young Justice because Scola is AWESOME, and the Avengers DVD because my life choices are predictable.
