[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Dang, erin. That is a bucket o' crazy.

I woke up feeling better mentally, at least, and I was really looking forward to riding my bike around running errands... and then I stood up. Still can't stand up straight. And now I have a headache, too. I think I'm going to go back to bed and curl up a little more. I *have* to go to the bank and grocery store. And I really need to do some budgeting and bill-paying.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Aw, smonster, I wish I could help, but I'm stuck at work. Maybe during my lunch hour??? Let me know.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

erin, that kind of thing drives me crazy. I am super sensitive to cleaners and pretty much anything scented.

{{{smonster}}} Feel better.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Erin, you may have a bulimic. We had brown spots on the walls every evening shift for MONTHS and it turned out an employee was purging.

Oh, wow Scrappy. That wouldn't have occurred to me but it makes sense. (I mean, I feel like I never accidentally toss blood everywhere at home, but vomiting is a little less controlled even if you're forcing it)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

damn Scrappy. that makes a lot of sense.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

The piece of paper was ripped off, crumpled into the trash, and buried under paper towels by one of my coworkers. Why the anger?

I suspect somebody (or somebodies) hates(es) the fragrence free policy. A lot.

Thrive to spite them

smonster I hope you start feeling better soon.

I saw my therapist today and talked to her about my feelings last night, she said I sounded over tired and anxious and suggested next time I get like that I use a physical shock to jolt me out of it. Like splashing cold water on my face, biting a lemon or taking a cold shower. She also told me they have a respite house where patients who don't need hospitalization but do feel they need a level of supervision can go for a few nights. It's two beds and then the staff. She said that was always an option for me. They also have a 24 hour crisis line (which I knew about) but they are starting a mobile crisis team that will be able to go to someone's house (not sure if that's up and running yet).

The level of support here is so amazing.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Oh crap Scrappy, that totally makes sense and hadn't even occured to me. Or might have been one of the preggers ladies.

I work at a 911 call/dispatch center, so we generally have 20-50 people working in the same very large room with 2 bathrooms. Sentiments tend to fester. In related news, apparently the other night a lock on the single door that gets us in and out of that large room where we are (literally) tied to our desks (by headsets plugged into the desks) for 10-12 hours at at time malfunctioned and locked. No one could get out for a few minutes. I can only imagine the repressed panic and grumbling.

Our wings are not tired.

e_o, if I were stuck in those conditions (and admittedly I am both a control freak and fresh air freak with bouts of misanthropy), for as many hours as y'all, I would be the one calling 911!
