Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

Today has been super stressful and it's nothing big. But, the Feliway has run out and I didnt' realize it. I now know it's working because without the Feliway Dean peed on the clean laundry and he and Penny got into a major fight. Not Kitty Wrestling but...not quite Thunderdome but definitly Kitty Street Brawl Smack Down.

So I had to separate them. Wash the clothe dean peed on (I just changed the litter box the other day).

And then there's the fingerless gloves I'm trying to make for Dad. I'm at the final 10 rows it's a ribbed pattern knit 3 purl 3 and yet. I've messed it up three or four times. I went to the yarn shop twice for help. Some how I'm either not finishing my stitches and then try to correct it and end up wtih dropped stitches. Or not finishing my stitches and try to correct it and end up with extra stitches and then drop stitches.

I've been weepy and emotional all day.

I should be happy Mom's coming next Wednesday and the rugs I ordered (I ended up getting 2 of the skull and cross bones so I'll have wall to wall rug - hopefully) got here.

Except all I want to do is curl into a ball and sob and I can't even articulate why. I think instead of laying down and crying I'm going to go cry and play WoW.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Healing~ma to Tom.

Hil, how's the finger doing?

OK. Still hurting a little, but I can make a fist and sign the letter E today, which I couldn't do yesterday. It still looks slightly crooked, but not as much as it did before.

Construction guys just called. They got approval for the extra expense this morning, and *hope* to start up again on Monday. With the porch. I asked if the interior floor could be the priority, because I have (2) contracts for work that need finishing (flooring and closet). He said he would look into it. @@

I am a leaf on the wind....

I Skyped with Mom and E. He was really wired which means he was ready for bed. But it was great to see him and he blew me kisses and showed me his owl painting they did at school. I showed him a picture of the trick or treat bag I started for him and he didn't like it.

There were 2 in the new issue of Crochet World and he liked both of them and picked one he liked the best so I'll start working on that for him.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Gray Cat was outside for maybe an hour. He just came back wet from neck to toe, clearly unhappy, curled up on the spare bed and seemed to both want to be petted and want to be left alone, so I did both. He may have a hurty paw, but it isn't bleeding and I didn't see anything lodged there, so I'm not going to fuss over him about it right now. We'll see how it looks tomorrow morning.

How did he get so wet when it hasn't rained for two days? I can't think of anything but that someone turned a hose on him. Which, yeah, not going to hurt him, but it was scary and a little bit traumatic for him.

I want him to stay inside. I've been trying to be Zen about him going out; he was a stray cat for a long time before he asked to come inside my house, and he isn't happy stuck inside. But this may be the last straw that gets him a permanent inside gig. If there's someone in this neighborhood who thinks it's funny to frighten cats, I don't want him anywhere near them.

If some Higher Power is looking for suggestions of which humans to purge from the face of the Earth, I suggest people who hurt animals for fun.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Poor scared kitteh. I second the purging instinct.

Goddess, yes. I know there's a reason why the Happy Cat, mostly blind after having been hit, cringes when jacked-up pick-up trucks come roaring by the house. I've heard the bastard laugh.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Poor kitteh!! Bad humans. Not you, Zen, you're a good one.

D came over last night and stayed. We watched the first bit of BBC Sherlock s2 (super fun) and he brought me a TENS unit to try on my hip. I had a little trouble falling asleep until I took half a Xanax, and then I was out like the proverbial light. I think we're going to go watch some burlesque this weekend. He seems super chill and laid back, and yet actually into me. It's kind of a nice feeling.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I was all excited yesterday when I got notice of a message on OKC. Yeah. Until I saw the user name and read the profile. He is looking for a Mommy. He really wants to get married but he likes to wear diapers. Just no. I want to say I'm pretty open minded but I've already raised two kids and divorced another who acted like one. Sigh.

I think I've given up on dating.
