Diagnosis: broken arm, or more technically, fractured radial head (which is a misleading phrase for broken arm!)
He's got a splint, which is a bit more hardcore than I thought it would be. He's following up with an orthopedic surgeon right now, who he's supposed to see in 2-3 days, I imagine to look at it after any swelling's gone down and work out the proper rehabilitation of the arm.
We got out of the ER at around 2:30am and I'm home with Tom today.
I'm mostly just glad it's his arm that's broke and not his noggin.
Yikes, Nora. Quick healing~ma to Tom. I hope you both can get some rest today.
Thanks, sj- ~ma to your cousin, and to you and TCG too.
Ugh, lots of ~ma for Tom!
sj, aw, that's one adorable baby. I hope your cousin is feeling better soon.
Sean, I really hope you're able to go to your friend's funeral. Continued love being beamed in your direction.
Ack, I just sneezed and somehow hurt my throat. And I'm also starting to get sniffly. Damn you, daycare crud!
Thanks, Nora. Apparently she is doing much better and may get to go home tomorrow. We are a family of worriers. Either way I am going down to Rhode Island to see her and meet my new "niece".
Tonight I am meeting up with a friend that currently lives in England and meeting her little 5 month old girl for the first time. She was pregnant when we visited on our honeymoon.
So, it's a very baby filled week, but I am feeling much better today.
Thanks for checking in Nora. Hope that arm heals quickly.
Healing Arm~ma for Tom! And yes, much better than having to send out healing head~ma!
Sean, how you doing over there? You are still in my thoughts too.
Hil, how's the finger doing?
Thanks, Omnis.
I'm doing okay, but I'm a bit upset. My grandmother's funeral has been pushed into the middle of October, because of how long it's taking them to process the body.
Meanwhile, my friend Tim's viewing is tomorrow, funeral is thursday, and wake on Friday, and it looks like I'm going to miss all of that. I'm pretty unhappy about that, but not sure I can do much about it.
{{{Sean}}} I'm so sorry that you won't be able to be there.
