I'm giving an exam in an hour and a half. I'm trying to decide if I should walk downtown and get dinner during that time, or if I should rest now and just get some potato chips or something at the student center. My original plan had been to go get dinner, but some more rooms and proctors and things got moved around, and if I wanted to go get dinner, I would have to carry about 80 exam booklets with me, which I don't really feel like doing.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Real food is the best option if you can do it, Hil. But exhausting yourself is not in your best interest. It's a tough call. If carrying the exam booklets is only annoying, go get real food. If it's a physical hardship, rest and just deal with the bad blood sugar.
Cass gives good advice.
In the Halloween spirit, I gave blood today (though not to a vampire) after I finished my student-led parent conferences. Boy, I’d forgotten how much that wipes me out. I got home and faceplanted on my bed for two hours. Gronk.
I went with eating a bit of fried rice left over from my lunch. Now I'm home and just put on some water to make spaghetti.
I'm coughing a lot more again. I might have to go back to the doctor.
I don't understand students who raise their hands during an exam to ask, "Is this the right answer?"
I guess they think that it can't hurt to ask. Maybe you have a tell.
StW came over to eat wings and watch Justified, and left again. I'm going to bed. I've felt vaguely icky all day and I don't see how it could still be hangover. My supervisor left early from a meeting feeling sick. I had better not be coming down with something.

Ginger, I hope that rib sorts itself out.

I hope you're not coming down with something, too, smonster.
I wanted to give blood last Friday. Then I read the small print on the notice from the place that was having a collection event: 11am-3:30pm. Yeah, sorry, there's this whole employment thing that takes precedence. This is one of the few times I miss working for the NIEHS. They use to get the blood people to come to them, and I could donate on company time.
Feeling worse, not better, so I'm staying home today. I tend to stay home the first day I feel sick to head it off at the pass and keep from spreading it. Who knows, might be SAD combined with too many chicken wings, but I slept a lot and still feel crappy.
hope you feel better soon, smonster
