Start with what's easiest for her - pieces of paper, old magazines, whatever - let her get a taste of success and freedom.
Excellent advice. The big scary things are easier to tackle when there are some early successes.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Laura, here is an idea. You mentioned earlier, your sister has trouble bending over to pick up/clean stuff. Might I recomend a wheelie desk chair. Great for rolling around the room, and picking stuff up. I've also been known to keep a chair in the kitchen, to better get stuff out of the oven. Sad to say, my bathrooms have never fit a chair.
When I had my knee surgeries, I used a rolling garden seat.
I agree, omnis, but I have to say my first thought was first we need a path wide enough for a chair. I'm going to ask her son tomorrow when he last discussed helping her. He has had issues with her in the past for even shoveling snow or fixing stuff without permission. She can do for everyone all the time, but not so willing to take help.
I have renewed determination to make inroads with her.
I wish you support. That's a hard row to hoe.
smonster, I love the 27 fling boogie! Actually I need to do one shortly. But mostly I gotta get back on the daily 5 minute room rescue. I used to be so surprised at how much progress I made just with that. The other regular routine stuff is going pretty well.
There's a lot of chaos in the house right now because my office is all torn apart from prepping for the bank, and the SO's studio is all torn apart from him coming home from tour. But it's great. He's really motivated; he's writing music like crazy right now, so he wants a good space. Which is great for us and the house as a whole because it's the first thing you see when you walk in.
Just got back from my 3rd of 4 training sessions, and at first I was all, oh, I'm not as sore, but I can already tell I'm going to be sore tomorrow.
Yay for training sessions! I dream of having a trainer one day. And regular massages. And a pony.

I need to get back to developing a routine. Tonight it'll be all I can do to wash dishes for 10 minutes*, and I'll be going to bed late just with that. And somehow I need to find time this week to clean my back yard (landlady is paying me to do it). And I'm probably working Friday and Saturday. So, yay, making money and getting back to my financial goals! But hard to do anything else.
Zenkitty, I'd love to start morning calls again tomorrow. 6:30 am your time, if you please.
* so not even anywhere close to all the dishes, since I didn't do hardly any last night after I made dinner for D. But hey, baby steps!
Also, in the interest of wasting more time I don't have, I have gotten totally addicted to Words With Friends. Feel free to start a game with me!

Will do!
I went around the house putting things away for 15 minutes - that actually works well when I am half asleep -l don't have to be overly focused.
Glad you have a plan askye - and glad that having a plan helps
