Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Do you have the ingredients for a creamy mustard sauce for the thighs? Lots of recipes out there (many that look simple) and it'll add some easy luxe and the amusement factor of mustard in the sauce and mustard greens.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I am also cooking chicken thighs!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Percy the Emo Cat doesn't feel good. His tummy is upset. I don't know why. He hasn't had to take any medication, and he eats the same food he's been eating for two years. He used to get real scared when I went away, but I thought he was over that, and I was gone less than 48 hours anyway. Can stress make a cat have diarrhea ? Poor unhappy kitty. He's lying on the spare bed all alone all day. But he purrs when I pet him, so I don't think he;s in pain or anything. Just an upset tummy.

hip deep in pie

Zen, my cat Pico would always get sick if I was away for more than 48 hours. He always got bladder infections, but would stop eating. So I can see a kitty getting an upset tummy.

Oh dear. I already suspected he didn't eat much when I was gone. I don't know how I can possibly make him feel better. I'll be gone for ten days in November, the longest I've ever been away from them, and yay now I have something else to worry about.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Um. I'm in a grumpy mood (no hair pats, not point of post) and mom calls asking if I will take the filing cabinet off her hands now, so she can make progress on cleaning her hording condo. Fine. Bring it over. She comes by, they deliver the file cabinet, and she goes "oh, by the way, look at this" and shows me a sparkly ring on her left ring finger... Um. So? It seems she is engaged to the guy that's been helping her out with the move and stuff. The guy I've been teasing her about, that she's insisted is just a friend. So? They are engaged now?? "he wanted to give me the ring, it's nothing". Huh??

So. Confused AND grumpy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry you're grumpy, omnis.

Zenkitty, cat~ma headed your way.

I need to actually accomplish stuff tomorrow. I spent of all of last week feeling awful (allergies? depression? some combination of the two?) and got absolutely nothing done.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Go Team Chicken Thighs!

Good lord, omnis! That would make me pretty fucking grumpy.

Zen, poor wee beastie. You may want to look into kitty prozac - it's done good things for one of my parents' cats.

beth, you're welcome?

So... dinner was edible, but not the most fabulous ever. But hey, he brought gelato so it had a good finish. Of course, part of my plaster ceiling fell while he was over but it 1) wasn't over where we were sitting or 2) over my bed so I'm going to call that a win. He swing dances in addition to playing rugby, he loves musical theater, he's a Buffy fan, very liberal, pretty funny, and there was a bit of a spark when I kissed him goodnight. So... plenty enough for a third date. Plus, has dated bi girls before and doesn't give a shit who you dated before or might date after as long as you're into him at the time (dear god, what a sane perspective!).

Okay, gotta walk Frankie, clean up the plaster, put clean sheets on the bed and pass out. It is going to be super weird to work tomorrow... I haven't worked since last Monday, and then it was Thursday before that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My poor wee beastie has joined us in the den, at last, after I went upstairs and cuddled him for a bit. I'm reluctant to consider kitty prozac, and I admit that it's because I feel like human prozac and its ilk screwed me up pretty badly. Percy doesn't normally exhibit signs of anxiety at all anymore, but that's because he's got a home where there's always food and a cuddly human who "gets" him. I'd rather find a non-medicinal way to ease his anxiety when I go away. Maybe there are calming kitty pheromones I could buy him?
