Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry you're grumpy, omnis.

Zenkitty, cat~ma headed your way.

I need to actually accomplish stuff tomorrow. I spent of all of last week feeling awful (allergies? depression? some combination of the two?) and got absolutely nothing done.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Go Team Chicken Thighs!

Good lord, omnis! That would make me pretty fucking grumpy.

Zen, poor wee beastie. You may want to look into kitty prozac - it's done good things for one of my parents' cats.

beth, you're welcome?

So... dinner was edible, but not the most fabulous ever. But hey, he brought gelato so it had a good finish. Of course, part of my plaster ceiling fell while he was over but it 1) wasn't over where we were sitting or 2) over my bed so I'm going to call that a win. He swing dances in addition to playing rugby, he loves musical theater, he's a Buffy fan, very liberal, pretty funny, and there was a bit of a spark when I kissed him goodnight. So... plenty enough for a third date. Plus, has dated bi girls before and doesn't give a shit who you dated before or might date after as long as you're into him at the time (dear god, what a sane perspective!).

Okay, gotta walk Frankie, clean up the plaster, put clean sheets on the bed and pass out. It is going to be super weird to work tomorrow... I haven't worked since last Monday, and then it was Thursday before that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My poor wee beastie has joined us in the den, at last, after I went upstairs and cuddled him for a bit. I'm reluctant to consider kitty prozac, and I admit that it's because I feel like human prozac and its ilk screwed me up pretty badly. Percy doesn't normally exhibit signs of anxiety at all anymore, but that's because he's got a home where there's always food and a cuddly human who "gets" him. I'd rather find a non-medicinal way to ease his anxiety when I go away. Maybe there are calming kitty pheromones I could buy him?

You can try a Feliway dispenser and there are various herbal things to sprinkle on food, if he's not picky about those kinds of things.

Not picky about food? Oh haha. I don't call him the Emo Cat for nothing. "What is this? I ate that YESTERDAY. I want something new... what is this? Something new? No! Never! Where's my regular food? I scorn the kitchen!" flounce off, stage left

But I'll try it, because hope springs eternal and he might like it. It'll be fun to watch anyway.

Thrive to spite them

I tried the Feliway to see if it would curb Dean's peeing on everything.

He hasn't peed on anything since I got it. But his peeing was an irregular thing so I'm not sure if that worked. However, over all he's calmer. At night he used to walk on me and jump around and just not be able to settle down, and since using the Feliway he's able to settle down at night.

I thought he'd be more freaked out about the bedroom door being shut, but he hasn't been in front of it meowing.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Plus, has dated bi girls before and doesn't give a shit who you dated before or might date after as long as you're into him at the time (dear god, what a sane perspective!).

Well that is refreshing. And sane.

way to ease his anxiety when I go away.

Do you have a pet sitter or someone who can come over and spend at least a little bit of time with him on the days you are gone?

Excellent! So, after what date is the appropriate vetting by friends? Definitely after 3rd, but maybe before 5th-6th?

Heh, I joke, of course!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I was grumpy before she came over. The news didn't help any.

Oh yes, definitely; when I go away for a long time I have a petsitter who is really good, and also my neighbor will come over every couple days. But he wants me to be there. Which is endearing and sweet, but not actually very good for him. This time, I was only gone from Saturday morning to Sunday evening; I figured he'd just sleep through my absence. I can't see hiring a petsitter for just one day.
