That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Both butts looked normal, not odd at all....:)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

{Ginger}

It'll be Hebrew New Year's soon. Which means that once again, someone will need to remind me in what sort of reality I live in, that in which the wealthy, uber-right winged and racist part with history of domestic violence of my family (which I'm Oh So Lucky to have the family's New Year's dinner with!) considered to be the normative side of the family.

(I'm looking forward to a new year. This one mostly sucked, and in various levels of suckiness. I'm just not looking forward to spend the first night of it with people who truly live by the faith that oppression and violence is OK, as long as it doesn't happen to them).

(Edit: as always, grammar.)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Ah, so you know about holidays with my in-laws.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Epic, your tildas warped the board!!

Hi Shir. I hope you can find some peace in this year's holidays.

It's a new day, and I'm feeling much better. I am determined to kick some productivity ass. Or maybe go parade and day drink with the queers, I haven't decided. The challenge will be to not judge myself too harshly or spend time lamenting my previous days of inactivity.

Reasons for loving smonster, #857594. Glad you're feeling better, dear.

I hope you can find some peace in this year's holidays.

There's Yom Kippur somewhere in the middle. That's part of the holiday's meaning, for me. Finding peace and forgiveness in myself, for myself, and in others.

Also, I just spent at least half an hour talking to a wacky older lady in my hood. She's a Cajun raised Catholic who is kind of Hare Krishna now. When she found out that I have a lot of Ashkenazi blood she exclaimed, "Oh, that's why I can talk to you. That's good, strong, intelligent stock."

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Quick update: my Father's Day weekend included such events as:

A trip to the zoo. Highlight was the aviary, and realizing there was a cassowary parked right under the walkway.

Ryan singing a new song, a repurposed Richard Scarry tune with the working title of "Awesome Daddy".

Eating lunch at a food court today, with Ryan suddenly announcing that the kitchen opposite was on fire, and proceeding to act out a complete fire rescue.

The Canberra Raiders won their last match of the regular season, 42-22. That gives them a five-game winning streak, the highlight of which was ending the Bulldogs' eleven-game winning streak, the competition leaders and the team my brothers barrack for. They've won a home match for the first week of finals.

Good weekend.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Good weekend.

Indeed. Go Canberra! Go Cassowary! Go "Awesome Daddy"!

Amych, you made me giggle.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

For a work of fiction I'm writing:

What kind of shops would a character visit in Portland Oregon for Goth clothes, Goth craft jewelry and decor? skull candle holders, skull necklaces only something less cliched. (Suggestions as to what is less cliched are welcome.) Also the character loves Chinese food. What is a really good Chinese restaurant in Portland? Not overly Americanized. If it is near Powells that is a plus.
