Here at work, I have a whiteboard on my door. Somebody wrote a quote on it the other day:
Sadness is easier because its surrender. I say make time to dance alone with one hand waving free.
Now, I was happy because it looks to be a females handwriting. But then I looked up the quote, and it's from the movie "Elizabethtown". Which happens to be the name of the college I went to back east. I know, pure coincidence. But the brain. It likes to make connections.
I heard that was a shitty movie.

Wow, slow day here in Bitches.
My sister updated her Facebook (her mode of telling everyone her status, rather than calling/texting everyone)
Post op check out went well. Dressings changed and incisions healing well. On the road home to Leesburg now !!! Thanks for all the prayers!!
Thanks for the ~ma! Let's hope the surgery did what it was meant to do. Guess we won't know that for a few weeks at the soonest.
Wow, still the only one talking. I SUPER killed the thread.
My sister just called. She is home and sounding in real good spirits. All the shooting pains of her back are gone! She has some pain/discomfort from the incisions (to be expected). She sounded happy on the phone! It's been awhile. She has a week of recouping. 6 weeks with a back brace ("like what the guys at Costco were when lifting heavy things"). And then back to normal. I really didn't realize just how bad the pain has been for her. I can't even imagine. I hope a lot of the household strife that has been going on over there can be alleviated. I know how hard it is to be civil when you are in serious pain, and that's not attending a precocious kid into the mix.
Delurks after sixteen months to say hello Omnis.
Hope all of you dealing with flooding are safe.
Hi honey!
omnis glad your sister is doing well.
SLARTIBARTFAST! Welcome back!
Glad your sister is okay, omnis.
I've been farting around elsewhere on the web and thus silent here, for which I beg forgiveness, but at least it was Buffy-related. (Stupid people needed headpunching. It was a thing.)
Hi, SLNRLBF!
Glad your sister is doing better, omnis.
