Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Man. I slept ten hours last night and then took two two-hour naps. I really didn't realize I was so stressed out by the storm. I just couldn't do anything. I couldn't even make myself go to Nora's even though I knew it would make me feel better. All I could do was sleep.

It felt strangely familiar, and then I realized: this is how I felt for years, when I was really depressed. Too exhausted to cook, or leave the house, or be productive. In an odd way, it validated my struggles back then and I also want to say to those who are struggling now, like askye:

Go easy. Be kind to yourself. You are doing the best you can. What you are going through is real, not imaginary, and it is really difficult.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I was definitely more stressed about the storm than I realized. I think next storm I will give greater thought to evacuating. I don't know. Even though everything worked out OK this week, it was super stressful, in ways I only feel now that the danger has passed.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think next storm I will give greater thought to evacuating.

Just so you know, evacuating is also very stressful. I think it's actually more stressful than staying put, which is why people prefer not to.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Nora and smonster}} Storms are very stressful! Whether you stay or go, stressful. I have stayed for all but one. This year I happened to be out of town. I love the actual storm part, but I'm a storm loving freak. But the whole gathering supplies, hunkering down, and worrying, and living without power, and the resulting debris field are stressful. We shutter for storms so it is dark in the house which is kinda awful too.

It is good to hear you made out so well. Alas, too many people were not so fortunate. I hope life gets back to routine soon.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Be safe. Be well. Be happy, or be warmed with the love of those who sorrow with you, darlings.

OK, I'm trying to finish BIG LOVE, just for completion sake. I'm on episode 8 in season 5. Do the last 2 episodes get any better? anything redeeming worth watching? Beacuse the writing really went down hill on this one.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

omnis,

be strong.

the final season is bullshit. made more so by the finale. Beau bailed (and I recall exactly when he bailed the season before the final season) - he thought it was completely absurd that Bill was going to run for political office. So much so that he thought the show had no more credibility.

I stuck with it and I'm actually sorry I did.

You are so close to the end, you might as well finish the travesty.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

{{Nora and smonster}} Just reading about it, from many many many miles away, makes me stress. My thoughts are with you.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I started watching episode 9 (second to last). Mind you, it's been 8 or 9 months between episode 7 & 8, so I had to do some remembering. But that's fine. Anyhow, sometime during episode 9, I zonked out. Pfft.

he thought it was completely absurd that Bill was going to run for political office. So much so that he thought the show had no more credibility.
Funny, when that happened in the show, I was like "WHAT?!?!" I was thinking it was a jump the shark moment. Alas, it is worse than jumping the shark. It's been a luge ride down.

I'll watch the last 1.5 episodes, just to clear them from my watchlist. The show was interesting to begin with. I hate it when interesting shows turn blah.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

One excuse is that the narrative was compromised with the final 2 seasons had their episode order cut.
