Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' you did there. Wash: That's right, of course, 'cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded, I'm just the pilot. I can always say I was flying the ship by accident.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Nora, come to SF! But not until I return from Tahoe!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The semester hasn't even started yet, and I'm already getting stir-crazy. I really need to move somewhere where there's more stuff to do.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It's 70 degrees, 84% humidity at 10:18 here, so think 75 to 80 degrees, 90% humidity for my party. Which I am making plans for right now.

Hmm. May still need layers.

I've been having vague fantasies about getting TFO of NOLA, running away to, like, San Francisco. Or Amsterdam.

This place is intense. And hot and muggy.

Why am I still up?* I was super tired two hours ago, and am even more tireder now.

* I know why. I just don't know the why of the why.

Yeah, so far dc hasn't killed me with heat (and it's hot in Seattle this weekend!) but I'm worried about new Orleans in two weeks...

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Buffistas. YOU WERE IN MY DREAMS LAST NIGHT!

The offices of my work were relocated to Ohio (or possibly Chicago. I'm fairly certain it was Ohio in the dream, but when I woke up I remembered Chicago as the place. I think it's because a bunch of friends from another board were in Chicago for Lollapalooza recently). I had to be there for two days every week. I was changing flights in L.A. for this (not making a lot of sense, I know. Then again, relocating the offices of the Israeli Inter-University Computation Center to the U.S. doesn't make lots of sense either), and I was still living in Israel so I returned after every two days like this (not making a lot of se... OK, I'll stop here).

Anyways, after two weeks like this I learned there's an F2F in the city, in a hotel that's very close to where I stayed for two nights every week. I didn't tell any of you - just went to the hotel where you were staying in the free 30 minutes I had, hoping to see you. Two minutes after I entered the lobby and looked around people recognized me, and I met 7-8 of you. And one of you (a guy. I'm pretty horrible with names, even in my dreams) spoke pretty fluent Hebrew. And you fed me, and gave me some great advice about living in the city, and we had fun and it was all good.

And I realized it was a dream, because I remember being very excited and thinking "I'm meeting Buffistas! This is great! I gotta tell them that when I'll wake up!". So I am.

smonster, I'm sorry your co-worker is a pain. I'm glad your boss appreciates a job well done, and knows your doing in it.

Excellent dream, Shir.

I've been reading along here, hopelessly behind in Natter. Haven't been posting much, so I kind of hate to jump in and be all about me, but I have GOT to share a sentence I just stammered out, because really not a sentence I ever imagined saying, and I can't do it on FB or Twitter... yet:

"... so, like, will you send me a picture so I can see what my NEW BROTHER-IN-LAW looks like?"

WHAT.

My oldest sister called on my in to work this morning to say that she got married yesterday. To a dude she's been dating for a year. That none of us knew about. Well, surely someone did. Probably my aunt. Maybe her own two sons?

I mean, my family is not really a "up in each other's business," kind of family, but I believe she just took the Permanent Prize of Victory in Playing it Close to the Vest.

Holy shit.

I think I finally remembered to say, "Congratulations!" about a minute into the (short!) conversation.

Wow.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Happy hour yesterday was fun, but patently unsexy.(I wasn't really *expecting* it to be sexy, but I could use a cheap thrill...you know what I mean?) But the food was good.

Jen - Woah and even wow, too.

Oh, totally. Not that I've ever known who my brother dated. But he never got serious with anyone, either.
