Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ugh, that's worrying, smonster.

And Hil, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Ugh, smonster, that's close to why I switched to online bill pay for rent (until I started paying mortgage). My crummy property management company "misdirected" my check TWICE. The second time was after I had started online bill pay and I was able to clearly see exactly when it had been credited to them...and eventually they realised that yes, they had taken my rent money and just applied to someone else's account. Awesome. I hated that company. Anyways. Stop checks, make new payment arrangments.

IOMeN, i totally love my chiropractor. Love love love her. I hobbled into her office after a day on crutches that left me with brutal bruises on my ribs the insides of my upper arms (which bugs fundamentally, because I was on crutches many many times as a child, 6 months at age 11, and was a total rockstar with the things. Apparently crutches are one of the many things that are just waaay easier to deal with when you are young, have strong shoulders, and don't have to wear a bra against which the crutches are going to grate.) Marvelous chiro looked askance at the bruises on my arms, did exam, confirmed sprain, told me to take back the crutches and never speak of them again (ptooey). Much more reasonable advisement of continued PRICE, nice solid ankle brace for a cuple weeks, and then back to the physical rehab for stability and strength. Plus a rather comprehensive adjustment. It's funny how with ankle and hip hurting like WHOA I did not realise how much my back was also hurting until it stopped.

I also love arnica. Looking forward to night off tomorrow, soaking in a hot epsom salt bath and then generously slathering myself with arnica gel. Mmmmm.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I've made it to the theatre. Approximately five minutes till Attenborough.

Yay Attenborough time!!!!!

Super fun thing about working for 911 in the same area where I live? Today there was a foot pursuit in my neighborhood! I could see from the GPS's in the cop cars that one was parked directly across the street from my house and a sgt was parked 1 hs north of mine. Then I followed the call avidly, because they were tracking w/ a k9 in the alley behind my house which is rife with outdoor cats and very very barky dogs and chicken coops. Apparently the k9 set off the barky barky dogs and then stumbled upon the chicken coop (it was dark). I was almost in hysterics imagining all those officers in that horrid little unkempt alleyway. And very glad that mah kitties are indoors and not being terrified by the PoPo stomping around.

I believe my coffee is broken.

It doesn't wake me up nor motivate me to work.

Boo, coffee. Boo.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

smonster, could you pay her through your bank's bill pay?

See, I've never used a bank bill pay system before. Can someone explain how it works? Do they cut her a paper check and mail it? Is there a transfer?

erin, so glad your chiro gave you better recommendations.

Looking forward to the Attenborough recap.

I believe my coffee is broken.

Shir, perhaps there is some kind of worldwide coffee strike? Mine is also not functioning as advertised.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

True tales from the headset:

I ask for descriptions. A lot. Today I asked for a clothing description: "what's he wearing? what color shirt or jacket?" Caller: "it's a very summery gay ensemble, that's the only way I can describe it. Light and fluffy. " I start cracking up, just a little.

Smonster, my online payment option for the rental company (or anyone not having an online account) is that my bank cuts a paper check and mails it off...and then keeps impeccable records of when it is recieved, when cashed/deposited, etc.

This is what mine does, too. I pay my rent this way, even though my landlords are next door and I could just write out a check and put it through their mail slot, because I'm not always good at remembering when I'm supposed to pay, and so I've got my bank account set up to automatically send a check on the 25th of every month. Also helpful because my online account thing knows that I've got that check going out each month, and so it doesn't count that money in the "amount available" figure that I see when I log on.

I'm feeling a lot better today. I'm nearly certain I know what medicine was causing the nausea, and I'm skipping it today. I had some crackers and hummus for breakfast, and my stomach feels pretty much OK with that.
