There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I can do that with the tomatoes, and maybe the strawberries. Far too much work for cherries, and not really practical for lettuce. I'm not sure what I can do with the eggplant. The potatoes should keep for a while.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Chop the tomatoes and eggplant and saute them with the pasta? Or will that still be too much for your stomach?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Roast the eggplant? You can turn it into a dip that might keep for a little while.

Way too much. I just barely got down plain pasta.

You could still make a sauce from them and freeze it for later.

I definitely can't handle cooking smells now. I'll see how I'm doing tomorrow.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hard day today. I had to take Seamus to the vet (he's totally fine...poor punkin has allergies and licked his tummy almost bald...got a shot...he'll be fine). I was almost there when I realized the last time I was there was 6 months ago and I was picking Mickey's ashes up. Had to cry in the parking lot for awhile.

Oh, that is really hard. I made it a point to drop by a few things to donate to the vet but I still sobbed when I took Puppycat in for an appt before our move. I was pretty good until the vet came in and it was the first time we'd seen each other since losing Kittenish and I was a mess. She cried too. So hard to do.

Cut, clean and freeze?

I have some squash that need this treatment. I should do that now.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hil, I hate that. FWIW, I think the Debbie Meyer bags or whatever do help produce last longer, so you could pick those up tomorrow if you're still feeling yucky?

Buffistas are hard to resist.

Word. And I've never been out there, or met Strix, and I have other delightful friends in town I hope to see. Including B, but whatever, I actually don't care! Isn't that awesome.

In weirdness, I have had two rent checks go missing (neither reached destination nor get cashed fraudulently). One was picked up from my front porch with another check (both disappeared, though due to USPS incompetence or what I have no idea). The other one I dropped into a USPS box outside the post office with my sister's birthday card, which got to her in a few days.

I mean, WTF? My landlady moved states in between the two checks disappearing. Now, someone from the hood who knows her and why I'd be mailing her anything might have grabbed the first, but no one cashed it for weeks and weeks. And how did the other disappear? This is one reason I was looking into different ways to pay her. I'm going to talk to my bank on Friday, and otherwise I guess I'll start sending them certified mail? Thank heavens J is a friend and understanding and not in desperate need of my rent (she still hasn't cashed July's check).

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

smonster, could you pay her through your bank's bill pay?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ugh, that's worrying, smonster.

And Hil, sorry to hear you are feeling poorly.
