Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Did you compose the questionnaire yourself, erin?
Before my parents took their second honeymoon/retirement celebration trip to Australia they put their affairs in order and told my sister and me where to find the relevant paperwork. Not that they were worried about the bazillion poisonous creatures awaiting them in the outback, but they had to do a bunch of fiscal rearrangement for retirement, and they figured they may as well get all the wills, living wills, and whatnot in order. When they tried to discuss it with my sister and me, big sis refused to have the conversation. Which, I expect, is how I ended up Dad's executor, in spite of never stepping foot in a lawyer's office or handling much in the way of money before then.
I keep meaning to put my own affairs in order, but never have. Maybe when I'm back home next week I'll look into it. My living will/DNR-type stuff is more of an issue than distributing my relatively few shiny nickels. But my parents' forethought in that area really did help during a stressful time, so it's probably a way I can be kind to my niece 40 years down the road.
Yes, I compiled it myself, largely based on things the volunteer mentioned certain people saying they were glad someone had mentioned before passing. Like "my dad said he wanted a wake with lots of whiskey and ham rolls. So that's what we served, and I felt so much better knowing that's what he wanted," plus any horror stories I heard from friends.
And back on topic of my weird (non fingernail-related) skin condition, I finally got a Dr's appt on Aug 21st. Nothing like quick and easy appointment scheduling. I've had 2 GP/Gyn's leave the same practice in the last years. But finding a new Dr is so friggin exhausting. So I'll be seeing a NP because I'm quite set on a woman who is familiar with working with lady parts. So not down with male GYNs. *shudder*

See, I feel kinda bad about this, because I know there are plenty of awesome male GYNs, but... (My old roommate went to one when she had a huge ovarian cyst that had to come out, and she said he reminded her of Bill Cosby. She couldn't decide if that made it better or worse...)

I really don't care one way or the other.
My male OBGYN was awesome. I wish he was in MA instead of RI.
I prefer female GYNs. When a man is down there, I want it to be a lot more fun.
I prefer my male GYN to my female GP doing a pelvic exam. He's way better at it, because, specialist! Also, I take advantage of the fact that women prefer female GYNs on the whole, so he's the easiest doc in the practice to get an appointment with.
Have had both. One of each that were excellent, and one of each that I wouldn't go back to.
