Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Nora, it's at a place called The Middle East.

That place rocks! I would have loved to have seen that (and seen you guys). Pity I have to do epic planning to do anything in Boston/Cambridge that late (I HATE driving in the morning rush hour from Salem which is what I have to do for those kind of events; that or take the day off).

Sorry, Frank. The concert sold out ages ago. She is coming back in November to a different venue, but the tickets are much pricier so I sadly can't justify going. We should get together soon though.

Oh, I'm not surprised about that at all. I tried to get tickets to see her in Cabaret (I could have justified that expense) but the whole run was pretty much sold out from the get-go.

We should get together soon though.

Definitely. I really need to make it down to Worcester some time. Are Victor and Thessaly still really busy on the weekends like they used to be?

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

the good news: With all the walking back and forth to the Shakespeare in the park theater, my knees don't hurt today. The bad news: my back and arms do instead. Ow. We are going to get the stupid golf carts just in time for when we don't need them anymore. Stupid bureaucracy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Nora, I can't imagine making my children shoulder the costs if DH died. But I'm sorry, I don't want to sound too harsh or judgey. I'm sure her death has hit his father too, separation or no, and I know that people who are grieving don't always consider the impact of their actions (or inactions).

Sending good vibes to you and Tom.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora, that absolutely bites. Not what y'all needed.

Nora, what everybody's been saying. I hope something works out that doesn't involve a major outlay.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Nora, I'm sorry.

I'm slightly bitter about the whole estate process as well. I'm shelling out my own money--a substantial sum--to close out an estate that in the end won't have enough to cover his funeral expenses. Rob made some very boneheaded and stupid financial decisions that are now affecting me. (To be clear, I'm not responsible for his debt, but there's no way I could have dealt with his estate without a good attorney.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So tomorrow is the Dating for Nerds event. I've never been to any sort of event like this. Anyone have any tips for, um, attracting women?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Anyone have any tips for, um, attracting women?

1) Be smart - check! 2) Be funny - check! 3) Be kinda cute/attractive - check!

Well, you've got my list covered at least. Good luck, have fun! (Not to be facetious. I know boy/girl stuff can be very complex. [still bewilders the hell out of me too] But you've got the basics in spades. Good luck with working out the details!)

ION: Is it wrong how VERY, VERY tempted I am to get this shirt? (They even have the amazingly elusive 2X Babydoll!)
