Got the final reckoning for Tom's mother's estate settlement expenses. It's quite a lot of money. Tom has taken to bed to make it go away. Sigh.

That sounds awful. Did he co-sign for her debts? Otherwise he shouldn't have to pay them! But I guess if she was ill, sometimes there's no other choice.
Her estate was spent on her end of life care. Since Tom's dad refuses to sell the house (Eve's half of the house has gone to Tom) we only have rental income to pay for the settlement of the estate. These are solicitor fees and other estate settlement legal fees. I don't even know. I don't even know where the hell the rent money's been going since November.
We just paid the credit card off from our travels there and the funeral costs, too. Like, this week.
Ps, I love the Middle East! Great place for shows. Right around the corner from Emily & vwbug's old apartment, too! I also loved T.T. the Bear's club right next to the Middle East. Good times.
