Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
It's true! The social upheaval of leaving preschool and starting kindergarten is brutal. Franny's only true regret about starting kindergarten was losing out on her then-best friend, Max. Isaac was luckier in that he was part of a group of 4 boys whose parents are more social and so we've managed to stay in touch with all of them throughout the years.
Oh yes. I worry too much about Ryan in this regard. He's like me in many ways, which has its good points (not least being a daddy who's on his wavelength), but the full package also comes with often severe physical and social awkwardness. So, I worry about him. Needlessly so far; he socializes very well at childcare, he seems to be quite popular with everyone. (And the staff just adore him.)
And the staff just adore him.
Well, I mean, I would fear for their sanity otherwise.
Any new pics?
sj, thanks for asking! Here's one M just posted to FB today: [link] Should be visible to anyone who's friends with me; if there are Buffistas I'm not yet FB-friends with, just let me know and I'll add you.
Kate, I couldn't see the pic, even though we're FB friends. Might need to check your privacy setting on that particular picture.
Hrm, M might have it restricted. How about this one, from a few days ago? I'm tagged in this one, which might make the difference: [link]
Kate, I can't see it if I go through that link, but I can see pics on your facebook page. She's beyond adorable!
Ah well, I don't know what's wrong with those links, but thanks!
She woke up a little while ago but was clearly still sleepy, and I was able to rock her back to sleep. Baby steps!
D says thanks for the birthday wishes, Shir!
Erin, I think you're making the right decision, and I hope it brings you peace and good memories with you dad.
ION, Legoland was booked today, so we are going to take the kiddo for his 1st viewing of The Avengers (our 2nd!) WOO!
I can see the second link, but not the first. I have to agree with sj, she is absolutely adorable.
How old is Rose now? I forget how far apart she and Sammy are.
Speaking of, Sammy is now 6 months and a week. I realized in the last few days that I'm sure he didn't gain any weight from 4-6 months because of te ongoing thrush. He was never really unhappy, just not gaining much. But since he started the diflucan July 3, I'm sure he has gained 1.5 lbs at least. I'll find out tomorrow at the dr. I just put away a bunch of clothes and got out the next size. It's all the fun of shopping but free and you don't have to leave the house! Oh, and he's sitting up now, as of a week ago. I just love how one day babies can't do something and then, they just can!!
OMG my child will not sleep lately. He was up Thursday (technically Friday) at 3AM. 3EFFINAM! And stayed up until 10AM. Yesterday he was up at 4:30AM. Today we were back to 3AM. Is this his way of keeping siblings away cause I gotta say, I'm not feeling like adding a newborn to this craxy right this minute. Sigh.
On the plus side, he is happy as can be at these ungodly hours, and he really enjoyed watching men's gymnastics and swimming events last night. "More jumping?" Hee! I tried watching the opening ceremonies but I found it to be so boring. Boring and weird. That's a difficult combo to achieve IME.
