Trust my rage

I am an awesome mom, so I went to Bingo night at Ellie's school with her and Frisco after working since 8 am. And of course, I forgot money so then we had to be "given" our pizza. And everyone was totally nice about it but every visit to that school for non-official functions makes me feel like I am just not cool enough for that place.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Went to bed at 10pm, awake at 2:30 thinking about shite, up at 3:30 to do the work I couldn't finish last night, still have headache. Cat is confused about whether it is breakfast time or not.

not your mom's socks.

Also hugely impressed with you, Maria, and le nubian for kicking serious ASS.

Ass hasn't yet been kicked. But at least I know what happened. I need to figure out how to deal with it now. Not sure if I need to talk to a lawyer, or to folks at the bank, or what.

Maria, I'm sorry about the traffic and the frustration.

Hec & JZ, I hope the folks who claimed to repair the car can re-repair it?

Feel-better Daniel.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I got two shots yesterday, one for tetanus, one for pneumonia. Both in the left arm. It seems to me that the tetanus shot is a bit sore, but okay, the pneumonia one is fucked up. It hurts quite a bit.

I'm supposed to get a flu shot in October, which I guess I will do, but I'm reminded why I haven't been keeping up on shots all these years.

I suppose a few days of discomfort is worth not getting pneumonia and tetanus. But I am not feeling like using perspective right now.

I *think* tetanus is one of the ones that really hurts and for a while? I think I had to have one a few years ago and seem to remember that.

Frisco peed in the bed last night (we all sleep together). After the initial cleanup, we moved to the guest bedroom which is also where the Wii lives. So they are having a great time playing Mario Cart, I am chilling with my laptop, and we are all eating dry cereal. It's funny how much fun it can be to use your regular space in a different way. They have both told me several times how much fun it is just hanging out in this room this morning.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Ice and ibuprofen will probably help, le nub, since it's an inflammatory reaction.

It's like spending money on preventive maintenance. You know you should, but any number of things seem like a more inviting use of your time and money.

I always get a flu shot. My doctors gave them to me back when it wasn't common, because I'm a magnet for respiratory diseases. It's a gift. I'm very proud.

My ears may *knock wood* be better today. I have been insufficiently grateful for unstuffed up ears up until this week.

Ginger,

yeah, I probably should ice this damn thing too. I upped my ibuprofen from yesterday and that did help.

Considering I had The Pleurisy last Nov/Dec, and then I had the respiratory thing that would not die in July, I am definitely getting a flu shot this year. I had skipped last year (I think because, ironically, I was out sick the day they had them in my office building [and yes, I *know* one can get flu shots elsewhere; I am lazy and it may yet one day be my downfall]), but I really don't want any more illnesses that last more than a month. Sheesh.

For an additional $3,300. Which would only fix the transmission. The battery is still dire.
