Don't panic.
I lost my Sharpie.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Don't panic.
I lost my Sharpie.
Oh no, not your Sharpie! Oh, wait, that's probably not what you meant.
Okay, I won't panic. But I will pack. Be back in a moment.
Thinking all kinds of encouraging things at you and your SO, Liese. I just can't think of actual words for them.
I think I need to take my insomnia med.
Oh, wait, that's probably not what you meant.
Hee. It wasn't.
Still, where is my Sharpie? I taped up a box, wrote the contents on it WITH MY SHARPIE and moved the box. Now I can't find my Sharpie.
I'd make a terrible rock star.
edit: I FOUND MY SHARPIE. Okay, I am way overinvested in a marker. I need to shower and go to bed.
This is why I have back-up Sharpies.
I have a specific drawer for my Sharpies. Sharpies and tape.
Thank goodness! The panic is averted!
Anyway, I am packed. And I don't need to be packed, just the SO does, but he is packed. I will actually now have two awkward days where I am staying with his folks instead of with my sister's fam and mine, because it is closer to the venues. And I love my sister's family, but they are runny aroundy, and I am tired, and I and the dog will both be happier chilling at the in-laws.
Tomorrow after I drop the SO off on the tour bus, I will try to take care of all the car stuff, get the tire checked, seal the rock chip, maybe get it detailed if I have time before VBS. Then I'll have the final presentation, but it should be pretty easy, all review stuff. Then pool party on Friday.
To add to the nuttiness, the SO's phone went out, but the replacement is already shipping, and should be here on Friday, so I can take it to him in Cinci. Cinci, yay! I should probably be looking forward to the show and the film crew, but I am way more looking forward to seeing my 'ffistas!
So, we are thinking of buying a house. *trembles*This is a good time to buy. I'd watch HGTV, crap can't recall the name of the show, with the twin brothers who renovate homes. You can get a good deal for a clunker. Trick is, knowing a great gen contractor.
Cass, one secret to packing and making room for boxes: if you can dismantle your dining room table, or even put it on its side against the wall, then Use your dining room as primary destination for stacked packed boxes. Also, closets are a great packed boxes zone. Any and all furniture that can be dismantled, do it. Save all parts in zip lock bags, use the packing Saran wrap (I forget what it's called) to bundle the pieces together. That should help a bit. Ok, that was more than one secret. Hope they help.
Speaking of moving. Still in holding pattern, but made great progress on new place. Dishwasher is working (had to punch the hole in new garbage disposal for discharge connection), the kitchen faucet is no longer leaking, the bath has soap and shampoo shelves at standing height, just waiting for thin set to harden, then do the grout. Trim paint is done in living room and dining room, except for touch ups. And we started the sanding to fix the window sills. Moms new "boyfriend" is a great handyman! I lucked out with that!!
Now, just did a bunch of dishes, cleaning kitchen, and scrubbing pots. Now legs too tired to do more packing. Oh well. Lots was done today. Can't complain.
Water
Wow, you'd think wiht all that I did today, I'd be a bit more tired. Aah, insomnia, how is it you can keep the mind awake, and yet the body is exhausted.
Ok, yesterday, I got all the stuff done that I had not been able to do on Tuesday plus going to a staff meeting.
