Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So, we are thinking of buying a house. *trembles*
This is a good time to buy. I'd watch HGTV, crap can't recall the name of the show, with the twin brothers who renovate homes. You can get a good deal for a clunker. Trick is, knowing a great gen contractor.

Cass, one secret to packing and making room for boxes: if you can dismantle your dining room table, or even put it on its side against the wall, then Use your dining room as primary destination for stacked packed boxes. Also, closets are a great packed boxes zone. Any and all furniture that can be dismantled, do it. Save all parts in zip lock bags, use the packing Saran wrap (I forget what it's called) to bundle the pieces together. That should help a bit. Ok, that was more than one secret. Hope they help.

Speaking of moving. Still in holding pattern, but made great progress on new place. Dishwasher is working (had to punch the hole in new garbage disposal for discharge connection), the kitchen faucet is no longer leaking, the bath has soap and shampoo shelves at standing height, just waiting for thin set to harden, then do the grout. Trim paint is done in living room and dining room, except for touch ups. And we started the sanding to fix the window sills. Moms new "boyfriend" is a great handyman! I lucked out with that!!

Now, just did a bunch of dishes, cleaning kitchen, and scrubbing pots. Now legs too tired to do more packing. Oh well. Lots was done today. Can't complain.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ok, yesterday, I got all the stuff done that I had not been able to do on Tuesday plus going to a staff meeting.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Cinci, yay! I should probably be looking forward to the show and the film crew, but I am way more looking forward to seeing my 'ffistas!

I'm totally excited!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

When packing I stow sharpie in hair if no pockets available. But then, my hair likely has more storage space than for most.

Smonster, stretch all the calf muscles. All of them. When my knee hurts to bend, it's invariably my calves which feel totally fine. Bodies are weird.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Thanks, erin. Will do.

Moving tip: Label boxes on at least two sides, but not necessarily the top. Once you start stacking, you won't see what's where.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Dear person I'm supposed to interview at 1:

Please call me back and confirm, because I don't want to drive an hour and have you not be there. Your office thinks you're in class, which doesn't give me any confidence.

It's a good thing I didn't drive to Winder, because I finally got her on the phone and she swears she sent an e-mail cancelling it. I have no such e-mail, but I've had the ether eat occasional e-mails too.

Now I'm all dressed up with no place to go. Maybe I'll take a nap.

ERIN_O IS A GODDESS. I think it is one of my calf muscles, though I'm having a hard time stretching them all properly.

The MiL our current clients is visiting, and she has a total Fran Drescher voice. And she's super loud and whiny. OMG. Thank heavens they went out.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have been thinking about the pet vomit on papers quandary. This is what I would do:

take my smart phone (or get a trusted friend with one to use one of those scanning apps and scan the paperwork in after getting most of the messy stuff off.

I think you should just toss it out and get an above the air copy of what you need.
