Felicitations on your Natal Day, Zen.
What bonny said. Let there be cake! And then, set it on fire! Not a birthday unless something's burning, right?
bonny, I'm glad the migraine's improving--may that trend continue. And may you find something efficacious in holding it off or reducing its effects next time.
sj, I'm so sorry such a generous spirit has been lost. But as long as you remember her with as much love as your post held, she's never truly gone. She'll be an inspiration and a comfort to you as long as you remember her that way.
I'm so sorry for your loss, sj. And Bonny, those sound awful--I hope you find some relief.
{{sj}} So sorry about your aunt.
I find that migraines are highly individual, and even within individuals, contradictory. Every time I find a kindred pain spirit, there's something we're 180 oh-god-toxic on. However, if there's something you crave, eat it. And something that makes you feel sicker, don't eat it.
That at least, seems consistent. Nothing I crave is a trigger, and everything I know is a trigger grosses me out before I swallow.
Which means I *really* shouldn't have had that piece of chewing gum the other day--I thought it would be worth it to get rid of the lingering taste of raw onion (I really REALLY hate that taste, especially at work), but the combo of mint and fake sweetener--an hour later was the unilateral weakness and disparity of sensation and ringing ear, and me having to drive not just with one eye closed, but a hand over that eye.
I KNOW BETTER.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Check the ingredients list of your sandwich, ita !, or pick the shit out when you see it. Don't set yourself up for the avalanche of suck.
Happy birthday, Zen.
{{sj}} I'm so sorry for your loss and your sadness. Blessings on your aunt's spirit, and on all the good love she gave everyone in your family.
JZ said this so beautifully, I am just going to nod and offer my sympathies.
My uncle took me to brunch and just moved my tv out onto the landing so it's listed as free on Craigslist now. I expect it'll be gone today. Either way, it's out of my way finally.
sj I'm so sorry for your loss.
Happy birthday Zen.
And ita, decapitation has a 100% success rate with curing migraines and all other illnesses, though the side effects are generally not considered worth it.
I've broken down and gotten a window a/c. Well Will got it for me.
I have a narrow window so I have to find a small unit. We went to ACE and no luck. Then we went to Sears. We walk in and both salesmen were busy, one on the phone a nd the other in person.
Neither greets us or acknowledges us.
Will and I are looking trying to figure out dimensions and we were there for awhile. Another customer walks in and the sales guy on the phone ends the call and walks over to get an a/c unit.
Doesn't acknowledge us AND starts helping the customer who just got there. We were totally ignored. We ended up leaving and I asked Will if we were ignored of if I was being sensitive. He agreed, we were ignored.
So we went to another hardware store and got service.
Will also said he wanted to go and buy out their entire stock of a/c units and then sell them by the side of the road at a discount as revenge.
so why do you think you were ignored?
btw, I always contact the corporate office when this occurs. I had no one in a Honda Office ask me if I would like service. I waited there as a curiosity and it took 45 minutes before anyone asked me if I needed assistance. This was some years ago, but I certainly contacted Honda corporate about that.
