Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

...shhh, Tom and I came home early from vacation!

We woke up today and decided we wanted to be home. We missed the cats and our beds and stuff.

Welcome back Nora. Bonnie, I have migraines but no advice. Differ so much from one person to another.

Thunderstorms here in Olympia. Oh well, they were in Renton this morning so no surprise we got them eventually. I think the worst have passed.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

bonny, acupuncture helped my migraines enormously. I was getting them once every 2-3 weeks, and they'd last for 3-5 days. Now I get one every 5 or 6 months, and I can usually stop it when I feel one coming on.

Anecdata, YMMV, of course. I know some people say it's a scam and just a giant plaebo effect, but -- nothing else worked. Even if it was the placebo effect, I'll take it if it means no migraines.

My feeling is that anything non-fatal that works for some is worth trying. As far as I know, nothing short of amputation is a guaranteed migraine cure for everybody.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This is why trepanation should be an option. It might work!

Oh, hey, Washington went and had storms. No wonder my brain hurts so much.

I got a few nasal sumatriptan from my ex-aunt-in-law because the generic didn't work for her. They've taken my migraines from awful to tolerable 2/3 of the time. In fact, I just took one mid-posting. But the taste at the back of my throat is pretty bad. Less bad than the full headache, but significant. I still am going to ask about a script. Some relief is better than none.

Niecelet texted today about my move and she's ridiculously thrilled. She wants to come out and star gaze. I suspect she's going to end up with a key to my place.

Also my uncle is doing a wedding tonight near me so he's taking me to brunch tomorrow. I was worried about not getting a chance to see him before I left and now I get brunch.

The last two things are helping when I am down to my last spoon and a half.

I will definitely call my friend tomorrow.

Up until now, I've muddled through them with more bemusement than anything else, but this one was dangerous. I'd like to have something in my toolkit to stop it, if I can. I just wish I knew it was on me before it gets too far gone.

Blergh. I've been so fortunate to be free of chronic stuff...up until now.

My feeling is that anything non-fatal that works for some is worth trying.

Co-signed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, hey, my sister just texted me. It's my birthday. Saturday, that is. I actually forgot about it!

I better think of something fun to do. This is my last year of being in my 40s!

My BFF gave me The Art of The Avengers book. It's quite cool.
