Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Keeping the door closed will help significantly on keeping the food chilled at a safe temp. I'm glad ND is around to bring ice and stuff.

Do. Not. Open. The. Fridge. (in my head, it was in a O Brother Where Art Thou don't seek the treasure voice)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sean, I hope your stomach straightens up and flies right soon. Sammie is sitting next to me and purring her sweet, gentle purr. She is the one who stays by me when I am sick so we are sending you lots of gentle healing vibes.

And plenty of good vibes to Scrappy's mom.

I just got off the phone with her and she sounds okay. The pulmonologist said there is a mass on her lung which he thinks is fungal and may indicate TB(!), but they will know more soon. He did say that other than this mass, he'd send her home because all of her vital signs are excellent.

If the skinny doctor with the can and the attitude call for a lumbar puncture, grab his cane and hit him with it, t /House reference

Punishingly Intricate

Freezer food will actually be good for a couple days if it is full enough and not opened.

ND came by with an ice chest last night, so everything was saved. Power came back on some time in the night.

Yay for ice! Yay for power!

I had briefly contemplated walking around the block for lunch at the new Italian restaurant that has been there for at least a year that I have yet to try. Then suddenly I find myself sitting at my own dining room table with a plate full of squash and a leftover hamburger that Daniel made last night. He also cooked and froze the squash last fall. Normally Daniel is a big fan of all manner of seasonings, spices, favors. Last night he was a big fan of the flavor of meat. Nothing added to the hamburger when he cooked 'em. All I added to this squash was a bit of salt.

So perfect.

So I guess Italian food would not have been the thing right now.

Ouch. Woke up still stiff/sore. Not majorly. just enough to feel it. Stupid work, and moving chain and rigging hardware around all afternoon.

Sean, glad to hear ND saved the day, and power is back on. Was he wearing a cape? A big I on his chest (for Iceman or some such?)

OK, need to get to work. Running late.

Glad to hear it, Sean!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, good to hear, Sean.

Weather here is just so nuts. I thought the rain would last all day, but it dissipated and it's bright and sunny. I'm at work by myself, just plodding along. Lots going on in town this weekend...

IF that's crazy... it's raining in Southern California... in the summer time! Not sure how often that happens. But, I'd say it's rare. Granted, the "rain" is more a drizzle to those of us who know precipitation. But still. Water falling from the sky in the desert.
