Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That does sound concerning, Sean.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sean, that does sound concerning. Is there something that you are eating on the days you feel sick that you can pinpoint as the cause? Could it be acid reflux? My acid reflux can sometimes manifest itself as nausea.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Nothing that leaps out as an obvious culprit. I keep trying to track it beyer, but haven't done a very good job so far. I should try and keep a journal about it or something.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

It could just be stress. (I'm assuming you're stressed.)

And it's not quite nausea. More like feeling too full.

Okay, that's probably not stress.

You mean stress isn't the normal state for humans?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Sean, when I started feeling sick more days than not, I started writing down everything I ate and how I felt or reacted. It took me a ridiculous amount of time to pinpoint lactose intolerance, and I'm still trying to get a handle on my limits (e.g. I missed Prom because I apparently can't have frozen yogurt AT ALL anymore, but didn't realize it until that day), but I feel so much better with a cause I can point at (rather than my brain's panicky worst-case scenarios). Keep an eye on lactose, gluten, etc. to see if you note a pattern. Good luck figuring it out. I hope you feel much, much better soon.

Also, Happy Birthday Week (or Month, if you prefer), Seska! I hope your mid-thirties continue to bring you much happiness.

eta: You guys type way faster than me. So, anyway, I say, "Allow me to re-iterate," then say all that stuff above.

I do usually feel extra burpy/gassy when I get like this, so I am eyeing lactose and/or gluten as the culprit. Plus that's less disconcerting than the other possibilities.

Sean, Epic is right, a food journal is definitely a good idea. Feeling too full could definitely be a reaction to lactose. I hope you can figure it out and feel better soon.
