I think being overall happy with your life (wife, work, cats and wine) is a good sign.
Oh, yes, I am really quite cheery! Happy life is a darn sight more important than happy birthday. And anyway, birthday got a bit happier when more wine got down me.
Good luck with the donations, Cass!
Happy birthday, Seska!! And glad to hear life is happy too. And yes, happy life is far more imortant than happy birthday. After all, one is just once a year. The other is all the time!
Cass, what is this Purple Heart you speaking of? I'm guessing a charitble organization? I know of the medal for wounds in combat. I'm asking because I have a fridge that I need to get rid of (new place has a better one, and I got this one for a bottle of Vodka). I was thinking Habitat for Humanity. I also have a corner desk that could be given away, although it's getting up there in age. But, it's medal with laminate tops, and that sucker has been taken apart/reassembled half dozen times, and everytime, it goes back just fine. Still have all parts and directions.
Anyhow. Tired. Lots of moving of heavy things today here at work. And still have a couple hours to go. No fair, want to save energy for working on new place.
Sadly they [link] don't do refrigerators. I also just realized they will only do small furniture so I can't do that. I'd rather donate than Craigslist but we'll see.
Cass
If you have quite a bit of furniture, you may want to try Community Warehouse
(http://www.communitywarehouse.org/donate-goods)
They don't take refrigerators and they charge a small fee (maybe $25?)for pick-up but I'm told they have a pretty good track record in getting the furniture to people who can use it.
Many happy returns, Seska.

I am totally going to give them a call. Thanks! Honestly I prefer things go to people who need and will use them. Which isn't to say Craigslist doesn't sometimes work that way. But clearly not the person trying to haggle for a window air conditioning unit this morning. And if Community Warehouse picks up for a small fee, I would feel morally better.
Wow Cass, I am just checking in and skipped a bunch, but you're moving back to San Diego? I can see that, but also a big change. When would you move?
I kind of feel like I need to barf. Which is a semi common thing for me lately. Food and I are only partly getting along lately, which leaves me a little concerned as to what might be going on.
That does sound concerning, Sean.
