Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Wow, first time I've been glad FB is blocked at work. Thanks, Debet. (Also, eeewww).

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Scrappy, much ~ma to your mother.

As for Daniel Tosh, why do I have a feeling that he would think that nut shot jokes were very much un-funny?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cass, I moved to Florida to be closer to my father after he was diagnosed with lung cancer. I will always be grateful for the time we had together because of that choice.

That's what made it an easy decision. As Dana said, not a simple one, not a painless one, but an easy one.

I wish I could go out to Portland, and keep it company till you want to come back, Cass.

That would be so awesome. I just need to remind myself that realistically I can move again in a few years and it's not like Oregon or Washington won't let me back in.

Though Portland is currently trying to acclimate me by having ALL of the summer at once. High 80s is hot here. Though the desert will be much worse. Still, I think I got a little sunburned today. And something once summer hit is making me sneeze.

I have a place to live and set the dates for POD stuff today. I have a shockingly long list of things to still do and I just realized I have to break up with my hair stylist and dental technician. I really like both of them. My mom listened to me freak out for a while and keeps sending me updated lists of my ramblings.

Why will people buy a pet carrier for $5 on Craigslist but won't spend $10 on a old but large-ish tv? I swear, I am tempted to just move the damn thing. I know I could get rid of it if I listed it free but that means letting peoples into my place. Everything else I can walk to the parking lot. Cause I am trying to be a little safety aware.

Oh, look, now I am rambling at you guys.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Oh please, like we all haven't rambled in here at one point or another. Have you seen all my silly posts about fretting the new place? Ramble. Clear your head. It's crazy how that works. Stress about something, as soon as it's off your chest, you can breathe a little easier.

Our wings are not tired.

Cass, I am sorry you're needing to move to be by your dad, but I am sure it's the best thing for both of you.

Are you able to donate the tv? If you itemize on taxes, those donations really do add up. I donate everything these days (other than things I give away to friends) just to avoid the hassle of flakey buyers.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Cass, I did the same thing when my mom had cancer (though I was much younger, so in a lot of ways it didn't feel like a choice at the time) but I never regretted it. I wouldn't give up that time I had with her for anything.

Lots and lots of ~ma for your mother, Scrappy.

Ugh, Tosh. I don't even have the energy to engage. I'm glad you and Jess do, Debet. I wanted to throw in my standard, "Oh, and prison rape jokes aren't funny either," but I'm just going to go to bed.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

amyth, we got there in the end, as we were bound to do, I suppose.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Cass, please continue to rambling as long as you need to. I wish I could do more to help than read your posts and send sympathetic thoughts your way.

As I believe someone else said up thread, the few seconds I sometimes see of Tosh when I DVR the Daily show are enough to have made me hate him; this latest thing, I don't even want to know.

Paging Jilli, I bought this skull scarf at Hot Topic today. It reminded me of the Alexander McQueen one I saw in London last year.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

If you itemize on taxes, those donations really do add up.

java, how do you figure out how much to count each item for? I mean, if I donate a thing, do I count how much I paid for it, or how much I think Goodwill can get for it, or what?

Dana - Jul 11, 2012 4:16:04 pm PDT #16888 of 30001
I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

There's a valuation guide on Goodwill's site. If you pay for tax software, it's also often included there.
