You'd never make it. I'd rip your spine out before you got half a step. Those little legs wouldn't be much good without one of those.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Oh, no! That's awful, Pix.

The status is NOT quo.

Books, field trips, events (like our annual Shakespeare performance).

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, man. Is enrollment way down?

Basically I have just enough to cover the bare necessities for the department and nothing to cover anything special. Which sucks. I'm getting seriously disillusioned about my school.

ETA: Enrollment is down a bit and financial aid is up, but still.

Our wings are not tired.

That entirely sucks and I am sorry to hear it, Pix.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, Pix. That really sucks.

So apparently what I needed to complete my Monday was a panic attack. At least I'm home now, where the Xanax lives. It was a weird stop at the grocery store, though.

Thanks. It really isn't the end of the world, but it bums me out. Shakespeare on the Green is a really special thing we do every year (free performance of a Shakespearean play in the courtyard by the amazing professional Independent Shakespeare Company), and we've always budgeted for it so we can offer it free of charge to our school community. If I can't find a donor, I won't be able to do it at all. I also won't be able to do any field trips or special events. I expected this on a public school budget, but it's disheartening at a school that prides itself on offering a special experience for its students and charges a premium for that privilege. Diamond shoes and all, I know, but still. Bums me out.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, that's awful. I'm sorry.

{{{smonster}}} I hate that you have to deal with so many panic attacks.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Could there be a partnership with a MFA acting program? So, dual education to get Shakespeare performance? Tag team? Wondertwin Powers, Activate! Maybe CalArts? Or UCI? Does UCLA have a good acting program? Is it a full on production (lights, sound, costumes, scenary?)

Just trying to find the opening window with the closing door.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

That really sucks, Kristin. And seems counterproductive, if the school markets itself as offering something special.
