That really sucks, Kristin. And seems counterproductive, if the school markets itself as offering something special.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Actually, it could be quite beneficial for the girls. It could expose them to a local university, and help them with the enrollment process.
Maybe contact some corporation in need of reputation enhancement and point out that sponsoring stuff for kids looks good? Might as well get some use out of callous PR opportunities.
bonny, those photos are delightful!
Panic attacks suck. Dana, I agree that you should take that episode seriously. Even if it's "just" a panic attack, those can really affect your quality of life and are not to be dismissed.
Actually, it could be quite beneficial for the girls.
This strikes me as troll logic.
Hec, I think he meant UCLA "partnership", not the budget cuts themselves.
Ugh Pix, I hope someone steps up with the funds. I do like the suggestion of partnering up with a local uni.
So back from the vet. Our cat most likely has a kidney infection. Poor kitty.
Boo to kitty UTIs! And fingers crossed that funding will still come through for the Archer girls. Isn't that supposed to be an advantage to private schools: having the $$$ to do cool enrichment things? Sheesh.
eta: I still have leftover kitty muscle relaxers from Malachi's last episode of urinary misery. Him lurching around like a drunken sailor on land was the only bright spot of that vet excursion.
I expected this on a public school budget, but it's disheartening at a school that prides itself on offering a special experience for its students and charges a premium for that privilege. Diamond shoes and all, I know, but still. Bums me out.
Well, if the parents are paying for diamond shoes, they should get diamond shoes, not cubic zirconium shoes.
Hec, I think he meant UCLA "partnership", not the budget cuts themselves.
Yes this! Sorry if it sounded otherwise. I am also the optimist, trying to find the good in everything. Budget cuts suck. period! But, if can be used to forge a partnership, then hey, lemonade from lemons, right?
ION I have updated quicken with all the transactions/fees/charges from these past few weeks. Set up a loan payment schedule. Wrote final rent check. As well as 30 days notice to vacate. And learned that my 6 year old iMac with 10.4.11 will not upgrade to newer Firefox, and new Firefox is needed to run billpay on my credit union website. :: sigh ::
