Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm sad about my car. I loved that car. they will probably total it. It's an 8 year old car that isn't made anymore. Feh. I mean, I can buy a new one, but with no warranty, and no guarantee that I can get the parts.

I might end up leasing something, if only so I don't have to worry about committing right away. I don't make major decisions quickly.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, the advantage of an implant is that it's permanent. Considering how many crowns my mother has had redone, it seemed like a better option for me, particularly since my teeth hate me.

The dentist recommends the implant. It kind of freaks me out, though -- it's a SCREW, embedded in your JAW! Also, insurance apparently doesn't pay for them (which makes no sense, but then, it's insurance, so why would they do something that makes sense?), but does pay at least part of a bridge.

I have some thinking to do. (Did I say BAH?)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Think of it as being a cyborg!

Oooh, if I could get a laser-beam implant, I would pay that shit out of pocket in a heartbeat!

Steph, I have an implanted tooth, and I've never had a second of trouble with it. There's a little temperature sensitivity, but my teeth have always been sensitive, so I don't blame the implant.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Vortex, I am so glad you are okay. Yes, you are going to be very sore and probably crazy bruised. Hot baths or showers, ice areas that need ice and as many drugs as you need and can safely take. Plus rest.

they will probably total it.

That looks really totalled. Even if it was a brand new car, it looks really totalled.

It also looks really scary and I am so glad you are okay and unbroken.

My stepmom is doing an implant now, Tep. It's definitely a process. I am sorry you can't keep the tooth. Glad you have a new dentist you like more.

Thrive to spite them

Vortex, I'm so glad you are okay!

I have some with just a crowned root canal. It's right up against my sinuses but that is the first tooth where I feel weather changes or sinus issues. Sadly, not the only tooth. Just the first.

The status is NOT quo.

This, yes.

Also this. And I agree that the implant is probably a better option, though I know that money hurts like hell. Bah. I agree.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, god, yes, Vortex. I'd be surprised if it wasn't totalled. My Jetta was a bit older, but it was much less damage. I feel you on being sad about that car--I still don't feel like my new (old) one is mine. But at least it's not a rental. I hate people in older Jettas when I see them in traffic.

And you can hate me! I think that's the car I got, but a couple years older.
