Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

If it makes you feel any better, smonster, we paid like $35 for a duck at the farmers market last month and had it go bad on us.

I am sorry about the overages and cat traumas, too!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

WTF, Steph, that's weird! But yeah, it will probably not be an issue at all, but I'm still glad you know ahead of time.

What a big boy, Glam! I can't believe the time has passed.

We had a super nice evening out with our longtime friends. Old friends are good friends. Of course, we spent too long out there breaking in their new patio, but it was worth it, even though I'll be tired tomorrow.

Thrive to spite them

Anna used to drag socks around, meowing while she had them in her mouth. It was more like merfing sound the way it worked out. But she would find the socks and move them to where I had been.

Penny gets in the window and sees something and makes these soft little cooing or chattery noises. They sound adorable and cute but I know it translates to something like "prey I'm going to eat you. I'm going to kill you. nom nom nom"

Dean has a tendency to walk over me at night. Maybe he's checking on me, but he walks over me a few times and it's annoying.

And both of them have to run if there's anyone in the bathroom. I don't know what it is, but they both come running and mill about and then run off.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

GC, where did that big boy come from? All of a sudden Shane's face is so defined, so not maleable baby face.

Did too much lifting/moving things at work. Forarms and legs are tired. Need to do lifting/moving things at home for packing. Ow. Don't wanna. Blargh. Where are my house elves! I promise to give them clothing if they promise to help me around the house.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh man, I just heard one of my former students just got out of the hospital: he had gone next door to his partying neighbors to tell them to keep it down (he and his wife, another former student, have a young baby). As he was turning to leave, four guys jumped him and beat him with a 2x4 and stabbed him 9 times. But he survived: none of the stabs hit an organ. So scary.

Fuck. Next time just call the cops on them, okay?

That's crazy cakes. Will those guys be prosecuted for attacking him?

Well, the cops have two out of the four, the other two are still out there somewhere. It's hard to say what kind of justice will come down; it's on the reservation (Wyoming) pretty deep, I think, so jurisdiction will be a question.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

WTF, Steph, that's weird! But yeah, it will probably not be an issue at all, but I'm still glad you know ahead of time.

Tim, OTOH, wishes Best Friend hadn't told him. His reasoning (rather like sticking his fingers in his ears and going "lalalalala!") is that he *probably* would never have run in to her, and therefore if he was never going to run in to her, then he didn't need to know she was there.

I still think that it's much more likely that we're going to run in to her, because that's just how this neighborhood is. But I understand his desire to stick his head in the sand.

Oh Liese, how awful. I hope he can recover swiftly.

Noodle used to do this. The great sock hunter seems to have grown out of her sock obsession though. I kinda miss it.
