And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, that's a helluva coincidence. IJS.

Stranger things have happened. According to Best Friend, when he told ex-wife that Tim lives in this neighborhood, she was very surprised. She may be a good actress, I don't know.

It's just...weird. I'm not sure how else I feel. I'm glad we know, so that we don't randomly run in to her and get a huge shock. But...yeah. I don't even know.

Why do cats go into empty (peopleless) rooms and wail?

Toke does that all the time. No frigging clue. It always makes me think she's injured or sick. She just does it and then strolls away.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, at least you're forewarned.

I think the cats do it for attention. But it always makes me think something's wrong. Gray Cat can *sob* like the most-saddest kitty evah.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My kitty Zorro is doing it right now AIFLoud.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Damn, Steph.

do you want soup or stewy chicken?

Stewy chicken.

Man, it has not been the best day. I need to call and argue with insurance, I found out today that in five days of overages I doubled my phone bill, and my sister just called crying because they are at the emergency vet. The Queen Bitch of their cat herd, who's 18, may be going into kidney failure. I mean, long life and all, but it's never easy. I kind of hope it's time, really. It's still sad, though - I think I had just graduated high school when we adopted her.

Blergh. I tried really hard to be productive tonight and not fuck about on the internets, and I still ran out of time to do even half of the things I wanted to.

Hah. Our foster cat will stand in the middle of the living room and meow like we're starving him to death and he hasn't had human contact in YEARS...because he can't figure out that we walked around the corner or something.

Never mind about the chicken, it's gone bad. That's the final failstraw for tonight, I'm taking half a Xanax and going to bed. ISTG, every time I think I have my life and finances going along fairly well, I fuck it up in a big way. I guess I'm still the James Emm Effing Bond of self-sabotage.

{{smonster}} A chicken and a phone bill, that's not a major lifefail! It'll be all right!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Why do cats go into empty (peopleless) rooms and wail?

At least some of the times they do that, it is a hunting behavior. When cats go out together for a spot of cooperative hunting, they will call to each other that way - on a larger scale, lion prides will roar in turn whie out hunting together. It isn't the full-on dominant male ROAR for territorial boundary defense, they are just checking in with each other. I have also known cats to croon when they have prey or toys in their mouth. I'm not sure if it is a "come and get it" or a "look what I have and I'm not sharing".

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The crooning is usually mama-to-kittens, "Here's dinner, come out of hiding."

I have no idea about calling in empty rooms, unless they're taking sonar measurements for size, in case the mothership needs a landing spot.

Better tomorrow, smonster.

hip deep in pie

My cat Pico would kill his favourite toy every night in the middle of the night, and felt the need to tell me about it by meowing urgently until I got up and congratulated him. Once I figured it out, there were a lot of half asleep, "Oh what a brave kitty" speeches from my bed.
