Yeah, we're building a race of frog-people. It's a good time

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It looks to be more of the ancient Indian sign for good luck and well being.

Which is horizontal and often has dots in it. The Nazi swastika is tilted and has no dots.

Once I drew an om symbol and a swastika on my chemistry test for good luck, and my chemistry teacher called me in because she was afraid I was a Nazi. It was weird.

At my friend's Hindu wedding (to a white guy, incidentally) they gave out little favours that had that symbol on them.

he successfully quested for the hidden treasures of Salladhor Saan or something

That sounds like at terrific adventure! Off to Google Salladhor Saan!

edit: and who is now revealed as someone who hasn't read or watched any Game of Thrones? This person! Who is likely to remain that person? This person!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Right there with you. (Not that I dislike it, or anything, but it's not a genre I dig, and I already have a stack of books to read that are just taunting me at this point. I don't need to add to the stack.)

I don't really read epic fantasy either, but I'm totally addicted. Just finished the first book!

Thrive to spite them

I'm normally not a fan of epic fantasy, I prefer science fiction or the urban fantasy. But I'm totally addicted and I'm reading the last book. Well the last one so far. I hadn't realized that the series wasn't finished.

It's the death toll that is stopping me. If I'm following someone's story, I don't want to be attending their funeral halfway through the book. Multiple times. I'm well aware that life is grim and unfair, but I'm interested in the fate of people, not the fate of worlds, and if the person's story ends halfway, so do I.

The status is NOT quo.

What Connie said. I was madly in love with the first book and read the second and third (this was before any others had come out) but just couldn't take the death toll anymore.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It's hard to stay hydrated when you have to vacuum yourself off and leave a sealed environment every time you want a drink. File under: job problems.

Yeah, we'll see how I handle the death toll. I am attached to a lot of characters already! I know I wasn't supposed to be!
