Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I can't stand getting my eyebrows waxed, my skin is too sensitive and stays red for days. I need to get my brows tweezed, which is much more time consuming.
Heads up for everyone who doesn't subscribe to the Aromaleigh newsletter
Why aren't I subscribed to this yet? I R a dork! Not that I need any foundation yet. I discovered that I am only a 1CL in the winter, but once I get even a little sun I need a bit of 2CL mixed in with my 1CL. Which is only a wee bit of effort I guess and better to have the right color, but oy!
Have you tried threading, Burrell? I can't have above my brows and between them waxed, or I break out. But I do let them wax underneath, but I'm pretty sure it's more inconvenient for them that way.
Are tweezing and waxing the same area normally priced the same?
But, anyway, threading is more like tweezing, but faster.
Those of you who were at the Seattle F2F may remember how excited I was to find lavender soda at a restaurant there. I hadn't been able to find it around here since, until I went to Wegman's the other day and found them. I'm drinking one now, AIFG. Little things can make me ridiculously happy.
I'll have to try threading, I haven't had it done yet.
Feeling accomplished today. 3 loads of laundry done! I even hung them all up! Which is rare. I went flooring shopping to a couple stores. Went to the car wash to give a bath to my lil car. Went to uhaul to exchange 3 large for 8 small boxes (the dude didn't want to ring up the difference! Woot!). Returned the CO detector to Home Depot that the new place doesn't need. Still need to get more quarters to do more laundry and food shopping. But, got a lot done today.
Just got back from my friend's wedding in Illinois. It was super great and very oddly traditional, but she was lovely and radiant and jumped up and down (in her gown and long long long veil) to see us there. None of the other Arizonans made it, even the ones who now live in Indiana, so I was really glad we made the effort. It was fun and they had great vows and it was happy.
Now I am super tired (and that's with skipping out on the reception to drive four hours) and have to present our work tomorrow twice.
Grumble grumble. Charter Internet not working! Called it in. Known problem in area. How can I research my floor options on the iPhone?? Waaaaah!
Happy birthday, Teppy!!
OMG, I just spent nine hours with this guy from OKC. We went to a museum, had a drink and a snack, he came back with me to my house and we played with the kittens for hours. He broke his wrist six weeks ago and it's been hurting; he asked me to try massaging it so I did. Then he returned the favor on my back and hip (studied applied physiology in college). Which basically means that me was massaging my butt cheek at certain points. Kind of odd on a second date(?) and sounds like it would lead to making out, but no.
Then we walked Frankie, then got Vietnamese, then gelato and took a walk. Duuuude I'm tired.
Can't quite read this guy or decide how I feel about him. ::shrugs:: Nice to have someone to go check out art and trade massages with, though.
About pheromones/instincts/whatever: all that "yes" instinct means for me is that there is attraction. A "no" means there isn't and will not be. So no is no, and yes means there's a chance if many other factors coincide. Does that make sense? A "no" has never turned into a "yes," but my "yesses" turn out to be "nos" on a regular basis.
Sounds like a good date, smonster.
We went to have dinner with friends, then left Franny there for an overnight.
I need to do my nails tomorrow. I miss my polish.
Hope the birthday weekend is fabulous, Teppy.
Mostly great day yesterday. I swam 50 laps in the pool, my pool, not a full size variety. It took 50 minutes, which slow, but whatever. It felt great. Then I took a shower. As I am drying off I notice blood on the floor. My stupid foot incision is bleeding. It has been 2 months! I wore the compression bandage while swimming, but also pushed off with my toes to try and get more flexibility, so 100 push offs was apparently too much foot action. Pout.
Then we attended a 70th birthday celebration for an aunt. She danced for about 5 hours straight to rock, rap, salsa, everything. It was just a great time for everyone attending. Down side was my eldest son once again didn't bother to show for something important to me. He was asleep in bed when we got home. Lame excuse this morning. Grrr. I hope my foot allows me back on the dance floor in celebrations some time soon.
