Honestly, you meet the most appalling sort of people....

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Pix, how awful! I'm so glad C wasn't hurt.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yikes--and yay for ND's tech skills!

Art Crawl!!!

Pix - that is awful. I'm glad that C is okay and that ND was able to wipe the devices.

brillig

We took our young Irish friend (who came to America to hook up with a guy and is now married and 8 weeks pregnant, but we love her anyway even though we think she's very silly) out today because she doesn't drive here and doesn't have access to a car anyway. We took her to lunch then to a museum up at Brigham Young University. While there, a woman my age (late 40s/50s, more than old enough not to be threatened by 19 year olds anymore)went up to her, gave her a smarmy grin, and said, "You're so cute and thin. I hate you," huffed, glared, and left. Nadine said if she'd been back home, she would have gotten in the woman's face and challenged her, but in Utah she's becoming used to the weird passive/aggressive sweetly phrased insult.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

smonster, I agree with erica - don't put the Band-Aid back on. His message sounded very manipulative to me.

Pix, your poor friend. I'm so glad she's okay and you are all there for her. And ND wiping her stolen devices remotely sounds like superheroics to me! I didn't even know that was possible.

Connie, seriously, some woman you don't even know came up and said that to your friend? WTF?

Steph, the little girl dressed as Merida who was too dangerous to get a bow? That's fantastic. Brave may not be a great movie (haven't seen it yet myself) but I'm happy there's a movie heroine role-model for little girls who'd rather shoot things than get married.

Just waltzed right up, "smiled," and said it, then huffed away. No clue who she was.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Connie, that is messed up.

Thanks for the advice, y'all.

So, one of my neighborfriends is going to try and talk her sister into fostering the kittens! And if not then she might! Cross your digits, people.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope C is ok. That is a very scary thing to have happen.

Hil, I hope your pain has gotten more manageable.

Smonster, your name just got autocorrected to "smog steer". People who say things like "I trust my instincts no matter how many times they are wrong" (which I realize is not an exact quote but that is how it sounded to me) are generally one form of idiot or another. It is one thing to say that to your BFF, and another entirely to say it to someone you want to date. Whether he is an idiot who has trained himself to have poor decision making skills or the kind of idiot who thinks that announcing his rejection of common sense makes him a romantic hero - either kind of idiot is a good kind to avoid.

I always trust my instincts. Mine, however, are always right.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

How scary, Pix!

And smonster that's good news about the fostering of the kittens. They are very cute, but they look like a handful. Two handfuls.
