[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

brillig

Connie, seriously, some woman you don't even know came up and said that to your friend? WTF?

Just waltzed right up, "smiled," and said it, then huffed away. No clue who she was.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Connie, that is messed up.

Thanks for the advice, y'all.

So, one of my neighborfriends is going to try and talk her sister into fostering the kittens! And if not then she might! Cross your digits, people.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I hope C is ok. That is a very scary thing to have happen.

Hil, I hope your pain has gotten more manageable.

Smonster, your name just got autocorrected to "smog steer". People who say things like "I trust my instincts no matter how many times they are wrong" (which I realize is not an exact quote but that is how it sounded to me) are generally one form of idiot or another. It is one thing to say that to your BFF, and another entirely to say it to someone you want to date. Whether he is an idiot who has trained himself to have poor decision making skills or the kind of idiot who thinks that announcing his rejection of common sense makes him a romantic hero - either kind of idiot is a good kind to avoid.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I always trust my instincts. Mine, however, are always right.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

How scary, Pix!

And smonster that's good news about the fostering of the kittens. They are very cute, but they look like a handful. Two handfuls.

Heh.

"I trust my instincts no matter how many times they are wrong"

Well, he was responded to a similar comment I made about trusting my gut in matters of the heart. But I am slowly and painfully learning that just because I know instantly that I like someone and see potential for a relationship has absolutely no correlation with how they feel about me.

Tom and Nora came over to watch kitten tv. There was successful human/kitten cuddling, and one pooped on me but it wasn't too messy. And they ate and drank water. One might be making friends with Frankie; the other will have fuckall to do with the giant tap-dancing mutant. My cats decided to pretend the kittens didn't exist and turn their cute up to 11 to compensate. It was all very exciting.

Oo, I loved the Prydain Chronicles when I was younger, never read the Westmark series.

The problem I have with trusting my instincts is that I cannot always tell instinct from passing thoughts that I like the sound of.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I just reread the Westmark trilogy because my mom sent me all of the Lloyd Alexander books. I remember liking Westmark more than Prydain, but I should reread those, too.
