I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

"WHAT ABOUT RAIDY?"

Oh my goodness. Dying of the megalomaniacal cute.

Two hours of foam rolling, acupressure and various other maneuvers... and I'm still in a lot of pain. My appointment isn't until 3 pm tomorrow, I hope I can work until then.

Now to figure out what to make for dinner.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

  • tacklehugs back*

When are you going to come visit us??

Sooon, I hope! I am v. broke right now, because I had to spend $1400 to have my terminal molars removed (not my wisdom teeth, my molars) because my mouth was too small to accommodate them. (There went my F2F money...sigh.)

HOWEVER! The good news is that apparently I don't have sleep apnea anymore? I got a new neurologist, locally. (Still love the one in NYC, but my GP thought it would be a good idea to have one around here, esp. since I'm driving again, and she's not wrong.) I burned through all the ones at UNC and Duke, but my GP hooked me up with this, idk, 30-year-old looking guy in private practice around here who turned out to be awesome, AND his specialty is the connection between sleep apnea and epilepsy. When he found out that I've been an insomniac since I was a teen and pretty much haven't had eight hours of sleep since forever, and haven't had a sleep study in over six years, he ordered me to have one done again, which I did last week. And they couldn't detect any sleep apnea! Mind = blown. I still have to follow up with the doc on Monday, but the sleep tech theorized that losing a bunch of weight PLUS having the molars out did the trick. (Apparently the structure of my mouth and throat has more to do with it than anything.) Best $1400 I ever spent!

Anyway. Um. Soon!

I know. SO crazy. Between finding that out, and getting re-org-ed out of Facilities Services this week I don't know who I am anymore. WHO AM I ?

Oh my goodness. Dying of the megalomaniacal cute.

We need to get you two on Skype. She knows all the words.

Our wings are not tired

Kate, just one more person to add to the pile, but since I was adopted as an infant I was pretty much solely bottle fed. I have turned out pretty well in most respects.

Yay no sleep apnea, Amy! That's pretty awesome.

I am in Santa Barbara, and man is it gorgeous! I totally should've planned for two days, not "it'll be rushed but I can cram it into one". (ok it helps that I'm staying a block from the beach, even if I didn't get a room with a view or anything)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I was formula-fed, and I think I've turned out relatively OK.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Me too.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Two hours of foam rolling, acupressure and various other maneuvers... and I'm still in a lot of pain. My appointment isn't until 3 pm tomorrow, I hope I can work until then.

9 am, and I am hip-deep in pain. I took a Tylenol 3 after work (that the endodontist reluctantly prescribed for me after the root canal), and while it's making me TRIP BALLS, it's done nothing for the pain.

I am not amused. (Though apparently very amusing, according to Tim, who wants to set up a live Web feed of me babbling about things.)
