Ah! I was saying "read" as in "to read a book". I like the actual pronunciation, though!

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Biyi wasn't able to keep up with breastfeeding Ryan either. Needless to say, he's turned out pretty well so far. Especially these days, it's really a pretty minor thing whether you breastfeed or bottle feed. More important is that what you're doing works for your own family.
amyth! *tacklehug* I miss you too! When are you going to come visit us??
in my mind there's enough stress involved with being a parent, especially for the first time, that adding more unnecessarily is a bad idea.
So much this. See also: why we are doing disposable diapers instead of cloth.
All the kids in daycare call her Raidy because they can't pronounce her name, so she's taken to calling herself that. Her latest (because two-year-olds are nothing if not impatient narcissists) is to say, "WHAT ABOUT RAIDY?" if we aren't getting to something fast enough: her yogurt, getting her out of her carseat, whatever.
Aw, you guys. I'm so glad I finally talked to you all about this. Seriously, if bottle-feeding and formula are good enough for Ryan, and Sara, and Epic, and lots of other totally awesome Buffistas and Buffista kids, then Rose is going to be just fine. Thanks for helping me keep my sanity, y'all.

Ha! I love it. And I tremble just a little bit in thinking about Rose being that age...
Man, why did I wait so long to talk about this here??
Let this be a lesson to you! Seriously, the hivemind is an excellent resource for parenting as well as fic recommendations.
"WHAT ABOUT RAIDY?"
Oh my goodness. Dying of the megalomaniacal cute.
Two hours of foam rolling, acupressure and various other maneuvers... and I'm still in a lot of pain. My appointment isn't until 3 pm tomorrow, I hope I can work until then.
Now to figure out what to make for dinner.

When are you going to come visit us??
Sooon, I hope! I am v. broke right now, because I had to spend $1400 to have my terminal molars removed (not my wisdom teeth, my molars) because my mouth was too small to accommodate them. (There went my F2F money...sigh.)
HOWEVER! The good news is that apparently I don't have sleep apnea anymore? I got a new neurologist, locally. (Still love the one in NYC, but my GP thought it would be a good idea to have one around here, esp. since I'm driving again, and she's not wrong.) I burned through all the ones at UNC and Duke, but my GP hooked me up with this, idk, 30-year-old looking guy in private practice around here who turned out to be awesome, AND his specialty is the connection between sleep apnea and epilepsy. When he found out that I've been an insomniac since I was a teen and pretty much haven't had eight hours of sleep since forever, and haven't had a sleep study in over six years, he ordered me to have one done again, which I did last week. And they couldn't detect any sleep apnea! Mind = blown. I still have to follow up with the doc on Monday, but the sleep tech theorized that losing a bunch of weight PLUS having the molars out did the trick. (Apparently the structure of my mouth and throat has more to do with it than anything.) Best $1400 I ever spent!
Anyway. Um. Soon!
Also, Kate and amyth pixels! YAAAYYYYY!!! ::kermit flail::
