Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Found someone who treats ironman athletes as a specialty

I would expect someone who treats ironman athletes to be able to deal with chronic bastard-laden pain*.

*(That's a real medical term. You can trust me; I'm an editor and IN NO WAY A CRACKPOT, especially one who makes up words and phrases when she's avoiding editing an article on blood disorders.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

AND he's in network!! Woo fuckin HOO. I think I'll call right now, because I'm having trouble focusing on work and I think it's triggering a panic attack. This despite having stretched last night, done a few squats, and taken half a Flexeril before bed.

Hey, we are as one, except for the whole I-edit-you-do-awesome-carpentry thing. I have been stretching the hell out of every relevant part, lying on the heating pad, and taking flexiril (which has become as effective -- though not as tasty -- as Skittles at relaxing my muscles).

Dammit. He's on vacation this week so I have to wait until the 29th. Maybe I'll go see someine else in the interim.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Do it, smonster! Then you can encourage me to do the same, because my back and hip pain is not getting any better either.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Someone around here drowned in an Iron Man competition this weekend. Sad.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And THAT is why I don't exercise.

...not really, I'm just lazy.

Scuse my whinge - this fucking sucks. I feel like I can't breathe because the muscles along my ribs on my left side are clenching, and I just hurt. I do not need to be missing hours right now.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry so many people here are having hip/back pain. Mine has been especially bad this week. I actually had to shut myself in the bathroom and cry for a while yesterday during the party because I just couldn't take it. Luckily this was before my in-laws showed up. I feel like a wuss because it's not the worst pain ever, but it is so very constant that sometimes it just gets to be too much.

Ah, sj. That bites.

Yup, this.

Gave up, came home. Going to shower and hit the yoga mat for acupressure. Fuuuuck this sucks.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Skimmity, so I can post at all.

Karl, so sorry for your loss. What you wrote was really touching, and a really hororable legacy.

Much, much cancer-ma, err, or cancer-treatment-ma, which is really more to the point, to all the (why so many, Universe?) currently fighting.

Sorry also for the amount of pain going around, I wish you all unclenchy muscles and effective drugs/treatment/muscle manipulation/etc.

Happy, happy birthday plus one day, Cass! Hope things are on an upswing for 41!

Just went to a youth production of West Side Story last night (really well done, and Maria's high notes were AMAZING), and they announced their upcoming productions and one was something like "Zombie Prom". Anybody remember the name of ChiKat's play? I'm thinking that's probably not it, though it would be awesome if she were getting royalties already.

And just for the sake of argument, I emailed the British Theatre's contact to ask about the possibility of DVDs of Frankenstein. I can't access my email from work to quote, but it was pretty much as conjectured here - that they're giving it some thought for many (or all) of their productions, but it would require renegotiating artist contracts, etc., and right now their focus is the cinema-experience thing.
