I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

How exciting, Omnis!

JZ, are you in Nevada?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks Wind Sparrow, I'll take a closer look when I get home. It looks like we are doing a lot of those things already. My suspicion is it's related to stress and marking territory, not the long ago UTI.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

o-a, YAY!!!!

lolc, quick brown fox is part of a typing panagram, phrase that has all the letters in the English language, which you knew. I'm sure.

But I don't think it needs quotation marks or to be italicized, any more than if someone were to make a reference to sour grapes, or dog in the manger. They are just allusions that are so common that they are part of most English-speaking persons' word-set.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Thanks for the editing advice. I realized that the quote I'm using isn't a common quote (she'll recognize it but I don't know if anyone else will) so decided to use the marks. My daughter is a bit of a grammar nerd - she would have noticed and mocked me if it was wrong.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

java, yes, and THANK YOU. We got caught in an unexpected but very nasty snowstorm coming up over the summit yesterday, and I was so ridiculously grateful to be in your snug all-wheel-drive tank instead of our little hybrid. It soldiered on through beautifully and brought us in safe, and I am so glad.

Oh good. I just wanted to be sure you made it out of SF and your vacation wasn't waylaid by something or other! Have fun!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I have no problem with Tom's. I have, however, avoided mainstream pit protection for two decades.

I actually like the Kiss My Face stuff best, but it's getting harder to find.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

You could always blame the printing company.

Oy. I'm tired. Woke up early. Have done a ton already. Still have work work to do. Can't I take a sick month until this is all sorted out?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Omnis, best of luck with everything!

Sadly the big gay wedding weekend is coming to an end. TCG and I are taking our tIme heading home.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Yay, home ownership!

lcat, a phase that is only part of a sentence is quoted as "quick brown fox," since it's obvious there's more. If you're starting a sentence with the quote but there are more words in front of it, there's always "[Q]uick brown fox...." If what you're leaving out includes a complete sentence, it's four dots.

If your daughter nitpicks a kind gesture, whack her with the rolled up newspaper.
