Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

It's a good thing I am on vacation and generally relaxed and having a good time otherwise, and they didn't get everything or steal the money headed to pay our mortgage.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

It's a crappy thing to happen, but I am glad that it is not as devastating as it could be, sj.

Good vibes for your next assignment coming soon, askye.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ugh, that sucks, sj, what the hell. Hope you get your money back without too much trouble.

Crap, sj, that sucks a lot! Did you notice, or did PayPal stop them, or what?

Paypal suspended my account, and I got a notice about that. So, I went to look at my bank account, saw the money missing, and called paypal. They still have to "investigate" even though they suspected that they were fraudulent charges, so that is what is going to take 10 days. Meanwhile, my useless bank won't do anything until the charges are fully processed.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Can you get by until then, sj? And any idea how it got hacked?

I am at the doc's for a follow-up, all paranoid that I'm sweaty and smelly. Well, I know I'm sweaty. I just hope I'm not smelly. At least I'm probably not as smelly as a guy I work with. Maybe his skin is too sensitive for deodorant, but dang!! At least give Tom's of Maine a try. He's no young hippie, either, and I'd actually prefer patchouli smell. And I hate patchouli. Anyway, I've been needing to let that rant fly.

Swift healing, Strix!! Thanks for checking in, D!

Yeah, I'm good. The household money is in a separate account, and most of my personal expenses like my car payment and my car insurance don't come out until the end of the month. So it is mostly just a giant nuisance. If they had tried 5 days ago they would have found less than $100 in there because all of my monthly money is deposited on the 1st.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I hate the Tom's of Maine deodorant. Somehow, it made me smell worse than I did without any deodorant. There's something in there that encourages bacteria growth, or something. I know a few other people who've had the same issue with it. I've got super-sensitive skin, and after several deodorants that I knew were safe for me changed their formulas and I got a rash, I gave up on the regular brands and started using the Crystal kind, which I actually think is better than most of the others at preventing smells rather than covering them up.

Strix, I'm glad the surgery went well. Tons of recovery ~ma to you, and thanks for the update, D.
