I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Merlin: being a lot bolder about coming out to eat, as long as he thinks we're not around. We're being really quiet.

She's my head of state too, and we don't get squat for holidays. For two days off, I'd put up fucking BUNTING!

That's how most people around here seem to be thinking. Don't think the UK's seen this much bunting since the end of the war. And you should get the holidays!

Strix, thinking of you, whatever's going on.

Oh, Pix, that sucks. I hope you get a better match next time. The guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd be delighted to have someone like you as a teaching mentor.

The exposition in this movie is so awkward. Psychiatrist asks, "And did these visions continue after your parents died? After your father killed your mother and then killed himself?"

Subtle writing. How did it end?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Subtle writing. How did it end?

The husband was institutionalized, and somehow sedated or something so that he couldn't talk much.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I love trashy Lifetime movies, but even this one would have tested my limit.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Skipping a thousand or so post to share my most favorite-est sunscreen ever: la Roche-Posey Anthelios SX 60

Oh, I can second this rec! Best sunscreen.

Our wings are not tired.

Ginger, I'm sending massive amounts of pain~relief~ma in your direction. I hope your medical team can provide you relief in the short run while busting the underlying problem permanently. Wishes for extra strength and energy to help you through this miserable process.

the feeling of "I'll never find anyone" is awful

Like the others have said, when I 'found' my spouse(s) a relationship was the absolute last thing on my list. DH jokes often about our never ending one night stand. When we met I was in a 'never ever again will I fall in love' place and he thinking last college fling before graduating and leaving. Yeah, 25 years ago. I never intended to get involved with the first two DHs either. The ones I set out to have a real relationship with didn't ever work out. Love weird.

Stephanie! Great news on the loan. What a relief.

So I just watched my beloved Class of 2012 graduate. Sniff. I'm going to miss them a lot.

Aww, better than joy at being rid of them!

if you don't want me to storm at you, DON'T CHEW ALL THE THINGS. It's pretty simple, really.

I'm thinking Zoe might be a bit younger than we thought too. Her favorite thing to rip apart, her bed. I'm going to try switching to a folded up blanket since ripping out the stuffing is way too much fun.

Wow, the vacation house looks awesome, Teppy! Have a fabulous time. Note to self, beach very close, go breathe it in.

Erin, marked the sunscreen link. I should get more serious about this. I do sweat a lot though and would need something that can take it.

Ok, caught up for the moment. I was reading the last couple days, but too miserable to post. I'm just being a lightweight again when it comes to discomfort. Favoring the foot led to twisting the other knee, which led to throwing the back out. This whole crooked walking thing getting old. Tuesday I go for checkup and hope to get released to wear real shoes. The foot is still swollen, but velcro shoes should be ok.

I meant to say, Steph, that vacation house looks fabulous! mmmm, beaches.

Here is a stick by which you can measure how nuts you are over your cats: I just hand-fed Leo a handful of grass, blade by blade, that I plucked from the yard, to help his tummy feel better. I wish I had video.

Art Crawl!!!

Steph - totally agree that the vacation house looks fabulous.

Gray cats and disappearing acts: when I lost my cat Ivan - I believe it was an I opened the door, he went by in a flash (or possibly teleported out) and I was so tired I didn't notice and then didn't realize 'til the next day. (It was Sunday night of a Thanksgiving weekend and I was extra tired on my return home.)

I'm glad your gray cat teleported in.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

With sunblock I default to best value over best as I have found we need to use it in large quantities in my house if we want to get actual sun blockage from it. I've looked longingly at la Roche-Posey but haven't tried it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That vacation house does look swanky! I'm glad you're feeling better so you can enjoy it more, Steph.
