Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ginger, I (sorta) feel your typo pain; with this learning to type quickly one-armed, I have felt the burning shame of many misspelled words and lack of commas and caps. I hope your rib and your pain abate soon!

smonster, I always disbelieved people when I was lonely and was convinced I would never find anyone to love/love me. Plus, I was a 200+ lb. woman with large brains she was not willing to hide, and very assertive, with...well, you guys know my long-seated mental health struggles. I had truly, truly, truly given up.

You are lovely, giving, intelligent, skilled, lively and with a lovely body and soul. And let me say -- the feeling of "I'll never find anyone" is awful...I wept over it many a time (oh, the drunken sobbing on various girlfriends' shoulders, before I decided that I was Just Not The Marrying Type, and then a year later...BOOM!) but waiting to find the right person? Is worth it. Compromising isn't.

Also, I think my OKC account is still active. Iffn you want, I would be delighted, when you feel ready, to help you tweak your profile into something unique and intriguing, if you feel it needs a tweak. (That offer stands for any Buffista.)

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Can you help me tweak mine so it doesn't pick up woman my mothers age?

Also if you have a new iPad, they have a new feature with a little microphone in the keyboard, where you talk and it types what you say. It doesn't do punctuation but it's a start. A little editing is needed but it gets the bulk of it done for you, especially if you're typing one-handed.

HA! As I was dictating this message, I discovered if you say the word comma, it'll put one in. Periods too.

It's freaky how often that happens. After deciding "OK, I can cope on my own, though I don't like it," I literally trip over Hubby. Nearly 30 years ago now.

No guarantees, o-a, but yes!

And Connie, I know! It's so weird; gave up on finding a mate -- found the perfect one by accident. Gave up my struggle with being obese, lost 50+ lbs without trying. So strange.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Strix, that would be awesome. Sending username...

I keep trying to give up but my sneaky heart won't let me.

Punishingly Intricate

I keep trying to give up but my sneaky heart won't let me.

Yeah, it used to piss me off when people would say "just give up and it will happen." I never understood what that meant and it was not something I could make myself do. And I still found an improbably perfect someone. I always say "you never know what will happen." If it will help ward off despair at all.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Brunch et up, bloody mary dranken, cat food for both boys acquired, sheets changed, Old Bay restocked, laundry laundering.

I am feeling much more lively than I thought I would, given that I got a wee bit hammered last night. Sign it's time for Nora to go home: ordering a manhattan from the local dive bar (Pete's.) I had a lot of fun, though!

What address should I send the username to?

If it's any comfort, giving up was easier than looking. I had no clue how to go about looking, so I shrugged and went on my lazy way. And it wasn't totally serendipitous, I met Hubby at an SCA event that Amy (Amy Parker) wanted to go to, and she knew of the SCA through her husband, and her husband either found out about the SCA because of Hubby or met Hubby already, so Amy could tell me, "It's OK that he's interested, we're fairly sure he's not an axe murderer. In fact, come by the house tomorrow night, he'll be there."

I've been sleeping next to him fairly constantly ever since.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

smonster, too bad it didn't work out with StW. I'm sorry. But you deserve a guy who wants to go all in, as Burrell said.

I keep typing things like "deep seeded resentments."

Gotta plant 'em deep if they gonna grow!

I just got my approval this morning and my loan amount due has been reduce to 0!

Stephanie, 0, like, they wiped it out completely? That's tremendous!

I gave up a long time ago. Where's MY perfect man? *taps foot* Of course, since I have 0 social life, he'll have a hard time finding me, unless he trips over me at Lowes or the cinema.

How is Gray Cat inside?! I let him out at 1am last night before I went to bed. I got up at 5am and fed the inside cats - he was not there - and fed the outside cat - he was not there. I slept late and then went to run errands, and didn't see him. Got home, thinking where is Gray? he usually comes to meet the car. Inside, putting groceries away, and Gray comes trotting down the stairs. This is impossible, dammit. The logical explanation is that he slipped inside when I went out this morning to feed Sammie, but I can't believe I didn't see him at all. This is not an isolated incident of supernatural cat apparation, either. It happens a lot! I'll think he's inside and he's out, or I'll think he's outside and he's in. That cat walks through walls.
